If you feel offended by the fact that there is no logical way to prove the existence of God or Gods... then why do you believe in one?
It was my impression that this was about faith. That said, it doesn't seem like someone with real faith in God would be offended by irrelevant logic.

Prejudice in any direction is unhelpful. I have a very good friend, and she is warm and brilliant (think of a red headed Rachel Maddow with big boobs), and she is an atheist but one of the most pleasant people on the face of the earth. She is also a lawyer. On both accounts one would be inclined to think of sour attributes, but she is warm and caring and passionate about causes and does something about them. One of the most inspiring people I know. I am fortunate to have her friendship.
Even though Jillian is a little coarse I also consider him to be an enlightening person, worth taking the time to get to know. Making blanket assumptions that believers or atheists are unpleasant causes one to miss some of the rich relationships one can have in life. I never knew about The Picture of Dorian Gray until I heard Jillian speak of it and have since enjoyed reading not only more of Oscar Wilde but of other deep and thought provoking authors.
Everyone has something that we can learn from.

Dude, I refuse to believe that you can't see the problem with this. I could go dig up a website taking any position on anything, claim that it proves some point, and demand that you read it. But I wouldn't be making an argument. I would just be spewing squid ink, like you are right now. If you're sick of getting your ass handed to you in actual conversation - you know, that thing where people communicate back and forth? - the solution is to simply stop.
