1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job) I am a freelance writer and my day job is an admin bod.

I enjoy reading, watching horror movies, blogging katiedirge.blogspot.com and producing my zine.

2. Where are you from? UK

3. Who is your favorite author? Susan Hill

4. What are your favorite films? John Carpenter's Halloween, Fright Night, Insidious, Night of the Living Dead, The Changeling, Evil Dead...

5. What music do you want played at your wedding? Motorhead

6. At your funeral? Dead Can Dance

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die? Peacefully in my sleep

8. What kind of casket would you want? Black casket, lined with purple satin

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit? My big boots, pencil skirt, black top

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid? My sense of time, these days it seems to go so quickly

11. What's your favorite band? It changes, today it is Rob Zombie

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major? Film and TV studies - degree.

13. Why did you join? Love of literature and all things dark!

Well hello. Would it be terribly rude to ask how you find the money for freelance writing? It's something I'm currently trying to break into in terms of researching possible markets, but if I find it doesn't yield much income for the work involved and is more of a labour of love, I'd rather just write what I want, when I want, to be honest.

I'm ashamed to say I've never read any Susan Hill, despite fancying myself a connoiseur of gothic lit in my teens. The TV film of Woman in Black shat me right up when I was a kid, though.
