I'd say leave them alone, but if you want to do something, maybe try switching the lace to red?

Haha, I´ve got the exact same ones. I´d say, get ready for some pain if they´re brand new. Oh, and soak them in water and then wear them. They´ll form around your feet better then. It will still hurt insanely the first few weeks, though.

I would really urge you not to get boots made for the army, they aren't designed for comfort. Get Docs or something, but the army ones will tear your feet open.

...that´s what you´ve got band aids for. Just wear band aid the first few weeks until the leather starts softening. After a while, army boots are dead comfy.

Why buy boots that aren't comfortable right off the bat? There are plenty of heavy, black boots that don't need a break-in period. Shop around.
