Complexity
While observing the standard views
(Whose anointment culture choose)
You might say, "What's there to lose
In choosing a different road?"
But, dear friend, this you will find:
Many of those that appear kind
Look constantly inside their minds
For reasons to reject you.
For you see my friend, their tiny brains
Cannot accept their meager gains,
And therefore they inflict such pains
As ignorance and hate.
Yet hate them not, O friend of mine,
For, given enough passed time
Their rhythms will lack even rhyme
And their rhyme lack reason.
Look instead for the few who care
Enough not to stop and stare
At those of us who do not wear
What fits the social norm.
Among these special, wonderous few,
There may even be someone who
Could understand even you
And accept Complexity.
