It is time.
Well, there comes a time when every punk, no matter how hardcore must come out of their shell. I recently got dumped by my girlfriend and have not felt too good. We shared many interests and it seemed things would work out. Alas, it did not. She dumped me, and gave me no reason for doing so. I've heard through lines of communication that many girls are repulsed by me. I don't know what to do. Is it the way I look, or my personality? I need some support here.

We don't know you enough to say. You don't live in Canada do you? I think I may know you.

No, I live in Minnesota. Well, I'm 5'10", 210 libs, blond hair, blue eyes, glasses. I dress like a punk since I am one. I'm somewhat blunt and loud in occations.

You sound like me a couple weeks ago when I got the axe from my girlfriend, except she did yours one better: she dumped me because of an article in Cosmo (long confusing story and slightly self-deprecating). I'd find out the reason why, because I've found that if any of the stuff couples do together mean anything, then a resolution is much deserved.
What types of girls are the ones repulsed by you? If they are the shallow types who only look at you for the clothes you wear, then they aren't worth the trouble my friend. If they are honestly genuine in their reasons (like your personality might be off) then talk to them and see what their reasons are.

From what I've gathered, it seems about 75% of the girls from about every group in school. The only ones who don't are in my (somewhat small) group of friends. I'm basing most of it on what intel I know.

Well, look on the bright side: you have about 25% that still like you
All jokes aside, I would honestly not let it bother you. I gather you're still in high school, so it's gonna suck for a little bit, but trust me, that old cliche about finding other fish in the sea is completely and utterly true. There's going to be another girl that will appreciate you for beoing you (jeez, I'm beginning to sound like my mom!) and will actually get to know the REAL you, instead of the you that you present around the halls and in the classroom.
And I do sincerely doubt that the 75% percent mentioned above actually have a good reason to dislike you. If it's anything like my old high school, then they don't matter if they won't bother to get to know you before judging you.

To clear things up, I'm a senior at my high school. I guess, you are correct spoon. I just hope there still are some punkettes out there.

Girls are lame.
My only advice is this: you will find someone who cares for you exactly as you are, and as such, there is no sense in trying to augment your personality or appearance hitherto that point.
Fuck, that sounds cliched. My apologies.

There are always other girls out there.
It can be a hassle trying to find em, but they're there. Somewhere.
Besides, if someone wouldn't have you, would you have them? I'd say no to Natalie Portman if she'd only have me after giving up my music and social scene.

Maybe she dumped you because your only personality trait seems to be "punk."

Well, I'd say my personality is about 85% punk and the rest of it is being a closet nerd. I don't know what else to say.

Oh god. Maybe she dumped you because you put too many labels on things and she just got fed up with that?
I agree with Ophelia

Dude... you are a senior in high school, so you're about my age. 17 or 18 right? YOU ARE NOT FUCKING PUNK GOD DAMN IT PUNK FUCKING DIED BEFORE YOU WERE FUCKING BORN! You are (insert probably boring and generic name here). You are not "punk" you are a person. I would have dumped you too. Honestly, what is a "punk" personality? Loud, rebellious, somewhat political and angry? That's roughly every teen with more than five braincells still in high school. Grow up

Mean People Suck
To SoD: Ignore the haters, they apparently don't have anything better to do with their time.
If she doesn't care for who you are, you don't need her. Doesn't make it easier, for sure. Somewhere out there, you'll find someone who likes you for who you are outside and in. (=

True, but it is possible that it's the person who just sucks.
I'm not implying you suck, Stormtrooper, I'm just saying that NOT everyone deserves a person who will love them for them unless they make some personality changes.

I change for no one. I'm my own person and I like the way I am. It's cool, it have me more time to write music for my band. Wormboy, you can say what you want, I know what I am. Thanks much Depths of Space.

I don't think there's anything wrong with you.
She probably just wasn't feeling it, or she started liking someone else.
Or maybe she just didn't want a relationship at the time? I wouldn't worry about it, you'll found someone new =P

No problem Stormtrooper. It's hard being a punk in the post-punk world, I'm sure. You've got a good attitude about it, and never change for anyone. You'll find someone eventualy. Have fun until then.

I will. Lifes a party, enjoy it. I'm really excited, I'll be purchasing a new amp for my guitar and a distortion box too.
