I'm pretty sure that he was just agreeing with you that Haunted's stuff is awesome, but way to be a dick anyway.

I killed my cat

Actually it was a stray that had been hanging out at my house a few months. Unbeknownst to me, it decided to nap up under my car. I backed over its head. It was really gross. Its brains shot halfway across my driveway yet somehow it was still moving, kicking its legs.

That was it's nerves firing randomly, since they weren't getting any signals. It's like a chicken running around headless. It's awesome!

I've made a new vest! I'm still waiting for the backpatch in the mail, but it'll be sweet!

That's hilarious.

Found some pigeon ones lately.
How do you clean the flesh from it?
I've tried hot water but it wasn't as effective as I thought it would be.

Thank you.

I had a similar problem with glue not being adhesive enough, so I used wire instead.

I use the slow maceration method. Basically just stick the bones in a jar, fill it with tap water and leave it in a warm place for a few weeks, every now and then replacing the grotty old water with clean. Bacteria will do most of the work removing the flesh, but it smells absolutely rank (I'm used to the smell now, it used to make me gag).

Once they look like all the flesh is gone, take them out of the jar (wear gloves to prevent your hands getting the smell on them!), then give them a good scrub in warm soapy water, I use an old toothbrush. I often also use toothpaste to help get rid of the smell, yay for minty freshness.

Afterwards some bones aren't perfectly bone-white yet, so I'll put them in a solution of 1 part water to 1 part hydrogen peroxide (never use chlorine bleach, it weakens the bones considerably) for a few hours. Alternatively you can just stick them out in the sun for a while.

That was a much longer explanation than I intended to write, but there ya go haha.

I made some jewelry out of a bunch of capacitors and blown fuses.

I'll never do anything with real bones, for two reasons.

First, it screws with my energy flow. Bones tend to be some kind of black hole/"null" of living energy.

Second, I have a crippling fear of something that's really odd for a goth to be afraid of. Corpses, bones, decaying flesh, and anything to do with the physical leavings of death.

Yes, this extends to maggots.

I don't half make some tat when I'm bored. But it suits the hairstyle I have going on right now and I wll make some better ones with coloured feathers when I have some more earring hooks and the feathers too. I made the bird skull from clay as usual. The two long feathers were a discarded donation from my cockatiel Floyd. It's a bit heavy but I think I'll get used to it.

Anima_Severem - I would love to see the jewellery you've made. I am a jewellery fiend! Plus, if you don't like real bones, make fake ones from FIMO. I do ( see skull above ) , but only because real ones are so shitting scarce here .

Double post.

My bleachers:

The pictures don't do them justice; the colors are a lot more vibrant and varied.

I don't like the idea of making jewellery from real bones, either: that is why I purchased some plastic ones instead. They look like they are very obviously fake, but I don't mind. : P
