Making this list reach ten in order of preference is difficult. I'm just going to state some words that I like.

No particular order.
-cacophony. I just love the sound of it!
-exquisite. It looks beautiful on paper. Most people don't say it in a way I find pleasing . . .
-tremble. I like doing it. <---I so didn't type that! I like the combination of letters of all of the pairs, and all together makes me make fangirl sounds.
-captivate . . . I love the "possession" of it.
-lucid. I like the way it looks and sounds.
-incandescent. I always slant my eyes when I hear it (I have horrid double vision so it looks amazing to me).
-turquoise. I pronounce it "ter-'kwahhh" and love the way it looks.
-shadow. I like to whisper it sometimes. It looks, its sounds, it is beautiful.
-behold . . . see "captivate."
-beloved . . . Even misprounounced, its so lovely.

Maybe my reasoning was redundant, but this is my list with much contemplation (ooh I love that word too!)

I know that it isn't a list of 10 seperate words, but this is the most amazing group of words ever uttered in the English language. They are my favourite words because I am waiting... and it is hell. But I wait faithfully and even joyfully because in waiting I'm being useful and of service.

I don't know if I can do my absolutely favorite ten without thinking harder than I can be bothered to, but here are ten good ones, including some of my favorites.

Words with great texture for concepts near to my heart:

Occurring with frequency only in the law:

Miscellaneous:

- Exacerbate

I also love word pairs in which an adjective follows a noun, like "heir apparent" or "heretic contumacious". Hmm... looking at my list, I appear to have a thing for adjectives in general.

1. sangfroid- It is used in the english language, but a teacher told me to put quotes around it because it was foreign word. It is a nice way of saying composure.

2. sanguine- I just love the fact that it means healthful.

3. deluge- Floods are fun.

4. torpid- I like it because that is how I feel during winter.

5. lurid- It just makes you want to look.

6. asinine- That word sums up how I usually act.

7. kamikaze- One of these days I would like to listen to a band with the name Kamikaze Beatniks.

8. verdant- For some reason I think of a verdant lush.... Maybe it is a drunk covered in moss?

9. mutation- Everybody needs a second head sooner or later.

10. boobies: As in, hooray for. Eh, I just love to scream out Hooray for Boobies! when the conversation gets really boring; however, I hate the Bloodhound Gang album where I got that from. (For further clarification see #6.)

Immortal ~ I use it to reflect upon life as it is and will always will be.

Reality ~ I use it a lot when I create mythologies for random reasons.

Random ~ For the purity of being random.

Twisted ~ Makes me reflect upon the reality of things, that we are all diffrent than we seem.

Hearken ~ I love how it sounds, how it means, to reflect, rest, think and consult.

Smite ~ Again, my favorite way to tell people their going to die.

Fucktard-I know profanity/colloquialisms weren't supposed to be in the list, but this is something a friend of mine uses profusely, and it has its own bite. Just like most Mots Francaise, it is there for its sound more than its definition. so I stand by it. It is used to describe idiots who get in the way by virtue of their own stupidity.

Verisimilitude-meets the standards of the requirements of the post. It means to create believability when deceiving. “I dipped the document in tea for better verisimilitude when trying to create a fake “old” document”

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis-I know we aren't supposed to use technical terms, but this one is used by me frequently to slay those cocky kids who think themselves intellectually superior. “I think I'm coming down with Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, what should I do? I asked my doctor about this word, “Yeah, I've treated that when Mount St. Helens blew....you can spell it with a “k” for the coniosis part.” It is a respiratory disease caused by volcanic dust.

Lupine-Owwwwwoooooooooooooooooo! The word is spooky in and of itself.

Quaff-sounds so medieval. Who wants to quaff a pint with me?

Mortuary-it just SOUNDS like death!

Flatus. I wanna name a band after that. We would hand out garlic flavored beans before the show, followed by sugar alcohol laden candies.

Following, of course, flatulence. The name even smells... If I ever turned into a vampire, I would wanna be Count Chocula, not Count Flatula!

Colloquialism-What's up, Chuk? Answer: “It's a colloquialism for vomit.”

Exacerbate-The word itself if annoying. Hearing it exacerbates the feeling of fingernails on the blackboard of my soul.

I haven't played by the rules, so I will throw in a little more effort:

My favorite phrase: Dumb Double Assed Butt-Fuck. Another Mot Francaise. Call someone that sometime and see the reaction. They're usually more intrigued than pissed.

Every day at the store, we try to use the term “sick game”. We have to be caught using it with a customer once a day:
