I'm a music major, emphasising in stringed instruments. I've been in several bands of different genre's and my experience has always been very good, with the exception of the several months I spent playing with a national socialist black metal band. They agreed not to use my name or picture in any of their propaganda or on the cd covers, web site, etc or i wouldn't have agreed to do it. Such experiences are as you make them. The other memebers of a band may not be agreeable, but for me it was the music that made it fun. If you chose to be in a band again, try to concentrate on the enjoyment of making the music, it may not completely fix a problem but it'll help
