Hairstyle for me?

Hey guys, sorry if this topic has already been done, but here goes.

My hair is brown, it currently can reach a little past my eyes but it like, curls up sort of to the side, some strands of hair to the left and some to the right, I would probably be better off with short hair but I don't really know any good short hairstyles, or something that would help my long hair look better then it is. Yes, I'm a noob, make fun of me, I don't care, just asking for advice.

This happens about once every 6 months to 2 years.
