I can't afford it this April, and I'm not overstruck on the bands. But I'm also going in October. I shall yet again giggle at Bete getting hammered on Bulmers : p

Desdemona- it's not an 18+ event. Unless you mean your parents won't let you, in which case I guess they do have the say over whether you're old enough to go or not.
I'll be at it, with the Gent. I've ordered new trousers specially for my Airship Mechanic outfit for Friday. The Gent will be a rogueish Airship Pilot, and I shall be his trusty wrench-wench.

Bel Air- I'll be arriving Thursday, probably do the Elsi then the Resolution (rumour has it that Abney Park will be doing a tour of the Little A, Elsi and Res). Spa on Friday and Saturday, steampunk meet Saturday afternoon, Laughtons on Sunday, Beach Party on Monday, home on Tuesday.
Maybe catch you at some point.

I have a friend from England who went last year. She was so amazed by the wonderfully elaborate costumes. She felt dowdy. But still a warm atmosphere.

I will be in the Resolution on thursday evening and wandering and cruising around all weekend.
I will be out n about in the car so look out for a big black n sparkly thing.
Will also be slapping flyers on everything that moves.... And a few things that dont.

Suspect I must have missed Bel Air.
Saw lovely hearses- unfortunately 'big black n sparkly thing' not only describes half the vehicles, it also describes most of the heftier goth tourists and several of the buildings. I pulled the Gent over to admire a few hearses, but no idea which one may have belonged to my fellow GNetter.
