Try talking to her friends. Ask them if they know of anything wrong. (Make sure to tell them what happened and express your concern so that there's less chance that they think that you're just trying to snoop.) Also, send her an e-mail expressing your concerns.

Actually, send the e-mail, first.

If neither of those actually spawns any results, just give her some time. Maybe she just wants a little space.

Maybe somthing has just annoyed her that you had no involvement in and she is feeling a bit angry and therefore she might not have meant what she did. Try talking to her..and if she say leave it..then give her some space. I hope that helped.

Well, if I was born in 1990 (making me 16), and a guy I was dating started saying things like "my girl" and "i love her more than life", I would probably not want to talk to him anymore, either. Don't you think maybe she's not ready for that sort of commitment?

I agree with DHD maybe she just needs to think about your relationship. You should try to talk to her about your relationship and where you want it to go.

Gah! -.-' Peoples, my parents went in room and if I said "69" which is our "shut up the 'rents are here" code number, they would have seriously gotten pissed. I came online later to realize I shouldn't have said go away even though I was rushed and called back. He says it is fine but still don't think it is. -.- I'm perfectly fine with how he refers to me, as long as it isn't something sexually oriented. Emphasis on that last sentence. You know who you are.

In other words: I'm NOT mad at my hippy, I was rushed and snapped!

Oh, wow... I didn't know you two were a couple.

So, let me get this straight. You were short with your boyfriend, briefly, and he went on a forum that BOTH OF YOU BELONG TO to ask for advice? That seems a little... off, to me. If I were having problems with my SO, and I needed advice, I'd probably go somewhere that he wouldn't be going, so that when I took the advice, it didn't look like I was just doing what I was told.

In the future, you may want to come up with a less-sexually-oriented code word, though... With my friends and I, we have a code that means "this guy is creepy, I don't want to be talking to him, save me."

It's "grilled cheese".

Sometimes we use it subtly, like "Hey, Kristine! What happened to the grilled cheese we were going to make tonight?".

Sometimes, we'll be backed into a corner, and just start shouting "Grilled cheese! Grilled cheese!" That one's a little less subtle.

My point is, there are a ton of innocuous words that would be much better code words.

Don't use number do something that most people won't realize is being used. Like "Whats for dinner tonight?" And I didn't know you two were the couple either. Jeez. That is kinda odd to come ask everyone when you know they will read it.

Well, the idea is cute, but it's not really practical to say "69" to someone of the opposite gender on the phone in front of your parents at age 16...

Yup. It is odd, I shall ask. And tell him new code word. Now I must change my away message, so sad! It's funny when you get random "wtf" IMs.

yup. which is why i said "go away" and ocne again, it was "9" until he wanted "69" becuase it's funnily sexually orientated.

That's what I meant... the idea of "69" as a couples-code-word is adorable, but impractical. Go with "grilled cheese". I promise it works.

But then I'm going to have grilled cheese cravings! *wail*
I propose Ichigo. I already have strawberry cravings all the time anyways.

Yeah. Don't go with numbers. Your parents will know somethings up.

aaahhh... young love...

Yeah, Ichigo's a great code word, especially since you're an anime fan anyway--you could be talking about "Bleach"! Or laundry...

Thanks, little panda... now I must go and make a grilled cheese sandwich... with a side of strawberries...

You could also be talking about the anime Strawberry Panties, or the character in Please Teacher. And also I have the same cravings, but have no cheese or strawberries. -.-

You may not want "panties" in your code word, either...

Seriously. Have you decided on a codeword? One that won't make you hungry?

Its funny that some people need a code word. I just tell the person I'm talking to to hold on or I will just ask my parents to leave. I'm honest with my parents and will tell them what they want to know. And they know that so they try not to ask what they don't wanna know.

Some people have parents that are less accepting. I used to have to hide things from my parents. Now I don't. I don't regret hiding things from them, because at the time, it was necessary. Nor do I regret changing the dynamics of my relationship with my parents as I got older.

Yeah I agree. I am the same way. But I like that my parents are kind enough not to put me in a situation where I would wanna lie.

I don't have POS too much. But when I do, it gets annoying.

My poor little sister doesn't ever want to lie to our parents, and consequently she has no life. She won't even add MY friends to myspace because if my mom saw anyone that didn't go to her school on her myspace page (and yes, my mother checks) my sister would be grounded. I didn't want to live like that.
