It's the fact that you're basically implying that I'm sexist, and it was sincerely a harmless remark. I do not believe, nor will I ever believe that women are always whiny and bitchy due to their gender. That's obviously stupid, and I'm all for women's rights (hello, I am one), so I apologize if the statement set you off to thinking that I literally felt this way. This is pointless to argue about, so now that this is clarified... I think we can just move on. (Man, I didn't think anyone would seriously feel offended by that remark.)

the thing is I know I personally am not, I can't possibly be sexist... against my own gender specifically. I am a firm believer in ultimate equality and I always have been, I just think my comment was taken a little far from my intention. I'll have to learn to be a bit more sensitive to things around here because people get really out of hand. I know people who are very sexist, and I hate it and try to correct it if I can. I'm not here to push people's buttons, as some are apparently, I really hate it when my words get twisted to mean something completely out of left field....

While I'll agree the comment was taken out of context, it's worth noting that people can be sexist against their own sex. And racist against their own race. Some of the worst misogynists are women, and I've met some misandrist men as well. And homosexuals who hate being around gays.
It's always possible, and sometimes even quite easy, to be discriminatory or biased against your own demographic. It's worth taking care over, just in case.
