The Fountain
It's been awhile since I've seen it, but thought it was probably the best I'd seen in years. I've never cried in a movie but this one made me come damn close...Oh wait I cried when spock died...lmao
Just curious if anyone else saw it too..

I love sad movies. I would like to see it. I just looked it up on IMDB. Which one are you referring to? The one from 2006, 2004, 2001, 1988, 1972, or 1934 ?

The 06 one. Truly a great and gut wrenching story of lost love through the ages. Although not goth it follows the princibles well.
It's a stroy of the fountain of youth mixed in with a shakespearean like love story...set anywhere form ancient times to way way in the future.

Oh yeah, I noticed the trailer for that movie a while ago... but since had forgotten about it. I'll be sure to locate it.

I saw it...I tried to like it, I really did...it's pretty to look at, it's deeply philosophical and emotional, and it has Hugh Jackman (whee.)
...
But I thought it was too overreaching. I dunno, maybe I'm jaded, but it just didn't do anything for me. >_>

It was directed by Darren Aronofsky. I will buy it when it comes out just by that fact. Pi and Requiem for a Dream were both outstanding works of art.

Yes, Pi was great. I loved the ending, and the fact how they wove the consequence of getting what you truly wish for..lol
Haven't seen Req for a dream though.

It's really good, but really disturbing. I was really upset by it mostly because the character Jennifer Connely plays reminds me of my sister like crazy, which is horrible.

I thought Requiem for a Dream was even better than Pi. I'm in love with Jared Leto though and I think Jennifer Connelly is beautiful, so my opinions could be slightly biased.
