I... I don't know. I just think it's so ridiculous. But, I can't look away. It's like... Saw meets a kung fu flick meets a psycho thriller.

I just... I hate the idea and I can't help but like it on its own merits.

It's not a movie at all, yet. That clip is a 10 minute (8.43 to be precise) made by the director to try and sell the idea to a studio. There is no script completed yet, and no actors actually signed on for the project.

Right now the director (who is relatively unknown) is trying to get a studio to pick up the project and did this clip to show his vision for a new film.

I think it looks brilliant. Yer man has decided to do what is needed and start over, pretending like the first two bombs never happened and make a whole new movie.

In an interview I read he said he is going to push for the highest rating he can get - he wants it to be an adult film with adult themes and violence on the scale of a Tarintino film, not some kids film like they did with the first two.

You'd think this guy actually believes that what he's come up with here is somehow less stupid and childish than Outworld and Earthrealm and whatnot.
Also, is that Seven of Nine?

I thought a MK movie was made a long time ago, like in the late 90s or something?

I like the idea on its own merits. This would make a decent movie on its own steam but not an awesome one. I like the idea of doing a kind of horror themed kung fu flick.
