Don't you hate how your voice sounds different when you hear a recording of it, than of when you hear yourself speak. Ugh..

It's not a bad voice I just don't like hearing it..

I hate hearing my voice on a recording. I sound like an 8 year old or something. Not a huge fan. My singing voice isn't awful, and my speaking voice probably isn't as bad as I think it is, but I don't like hearing it all the same. Makes me cringe a little.

I think most people don't like their recorded voices. It sounds oddly different than you're used to when it isn't resonating though your skull.

That's very true. Can't say why most people hate their voices though...

You should hear me "sing" in my band. Wow, and you thought your ears were bleeding now.

Presenting.... in a less one dress size and with added purpleness
Nevan returns!
Yay! I actually managed to lose weight during this time of over-indulgence. And it's going to take forever to catch up again. And I dyed my hair purple. And I moved to a new apartment.
And anyway. I'm glad to be back

My grandson learned to walk early this morning! He took 6 steps at a time, on three different occasions! A day and a month earlier than when his mother walked (my daughter walked at 10 months).
Now we have to increase the level of baby proofing in my home.
Here comes trouble with a capital T!

I went to the optician today. So I'm currently wearing old glasses which aren't terribly good because my beloved Bauhaus ones are in for servicing. On the other hand, on Friday I'll have a good pair of glasses again.

So, you're using The Cure glasses at the moment?

Afraid not. These are simply a pair of very narrow half-lens glasses in a thin gold frame. Very librarian. Gold's not really my look any more, but I may be resurrecting them for Steampurposes.

Librarian is your look though, or atleast you could pull it off ridiculously good.

I don't really have anything else gold-toned to go with it (though I may have a gold toned pocketwatch waiting for me back in England)
I shall need a ladies' waistcoat with small gold buttons, watchpocket and chain to match the glasses.

That's why I like shades. They're black. I wear black. No need to match.

My intent is to acquire contact lens and several different pairs of shades in various colours. All round Lennon style ones, though, as shades don't tend to suit my face otherwise.
Black, dark red, dark green, possibly blue or purple.

I really shouldn't be on here as I am at work but I seem to have sort of wrenched my arm while moving boxes so I can't move any more around (I am putting an office back together as it was redecorated and everything is in boxes) and since I have finished puttin away everything that I can do before moving some boxes I must now wait for my boss to get back from lunch so that I can figure out what else I am to do

In the temple of love you hide together
Believing pain and fear outside
But someone near you rides the weather
eat bamboo and cry like rain!
