Ophie-

Mine did not hurt to get. There was some pressure and the fast feeling of biting your tongue, only not as bad. For about a week it is decently sore as long (as you don't do anything to make it tear)

I could never get my tongue pierced. I'm wuss when it comes to pain, and I'm pretty sure I have the whole vein problem.

I'm seriously considering a penis ring, but that swelling just makes me have second thoughts.

Not to mention how I won't be able to have sex for a week or two until the wound heals.

Honestly? I don't know if it's just me, but it was nothing more than a tiny pinch. My lip hurt a lot more than that.
I don't know, they camp it so it numbs it a bit and also makes the needle go through REALLY fast.

Honestly, it only looks scary. Get it done, it's all worth it, even the week of soreness.

Molly and Crow--Thanks. I'm thinking I might get it done when I have the cash dollars. What I REALLY want is a monroe piercing, but my job doesn't allow it. I doubt they'd care about a tongue piercing, though, considering after it heals it's not really noticeable.

Oh it's all good. And aparantly some girly store sells very cheap tongue jewelery. I don't care where I get it, as long as I don't have to pay 15 dollars for one little stud. I think it's just way too much.

You do know that of all painkillers, morphine is the MOST addictive right?

That's what my mom kindly informed me of upon seeing it.

Her: "I know why you got that thing"
Me: "Enlighten me"
Her: "It's to lick the dirty places of people"

My mom is quite a character. Very blunt.

You'd be wise to avoid places that sell cheap body jewelry.

A lot of those places sell items containing nickel, which will fuck you up good.

It looks good. Looks like you've been maintaining it well. Love the lipstick, by the way.

LOL, It has healed or something because it doesn't hurt anymore. Yay for listerine and other mouth wash.

My parents don't like me getting any sortof facial piercings. But they don't mind me getting tattoos done. Odd I know. I don't understand them.

I'm getting my lip pierced for my birthday next weekend. Does it hurt alot? I know people who have fainted when they got it done and people who say it hardly hurts at all.

I like some types of pain, piercing pain happens to be one of them so personally for me, no it didn't hurt. It is all in the head, if you get scared of the needle they use, you may imagine more pain than there is. I had my lip pierced before, and yes I did feel pain, but it was for maybe one second then it's done.

For those of you that do fear needles et al but really want a piercing, tell the piercer to talk to you before and while they do it. Preferably about a subject you like, like goth, a new record or movie released etc. Your mind will be more concentrated on what the person says than it is on the forthcoming pain, even if you focus on the pain. One of those nifty little "trick-your-brain" things.
