Forums are breeding ground for too much insult. I mean, just because no one can SEE you doesn't mean you don't owe a person verbally the amount of respect as if you were sitting next to them on a plane. I mean COME ON PEOPLE. I can't enjoy the net much, because I am insulted for being different and standing up for who I am. It's petty to care, but I can't stand being JUDGED everywhere on the net. Yet where I live everyone knows you, so the anonymity is a welcomed change....well not like that. I can still encounter friendliness where I live, in fact MOST people are always friendly to me IRL and likewise I am to them. People seem to have developed cliques on the net like it's not real life. It's real life, who turns their lives into the internet! Pretty soon we'll have the hackers take over and it will all be ruined, the government will be forced to shut it down and we'll become like China.
It's like people forget that forums are 'discussion groups' NOT dodge ball, grow up. It can only perpetuate idiot thinking, and wrecks people's lives. I'm not the one ruining the internet btw, it is everyone on a collective level. Cut the BS.

The reason why there are so many insults on the internet isn't because people are meaner in the internet, it is because people act more freely, they do things on the internet that they would not do in front of people due to social pressure

I actually stopped coming to this forum in the past because I found myself constantly insulting people. I am not going to lie: I felt a lot of people were fake or untrue to themselves and/or others, so I quit coming because it was adversely affecting the way I treated others. If you find that you're constantly insulting someone on here, it's probably a good time to take a break.
