Gothic.net Clothes
I've been thinking lately, and I've thought up an excellent idea for this site! Gothic.Net should have a store!!! I would love to wear a Gothic.Net hoodie or tee shirt or cami-top.
I've noticed a lot of sites have these clothing and accessory sections and I think it would bring an extra source of income to Gothic.Net.

Haha, sounds like a great idea... But I personally wouldn't be able to order unless there was some way of doing it without a credit card and excessive shipping costs.

That would be a contradiction in terms. What is beautiful about Gothic.net is that it is a free, no-gimmick forum where one is free to express one's own opinions on what exists in the Gothic community. By charging money for clothing, Gothic.net "sells out", for lack of a better phrase. The site becomes a store, dependent upon money for its survival, and no longer the free, unbiased forum it used to be. To create a Gothic.net store is to say that there is a "best way" to go about becoming a member of the vast Gothic community; to buy from the Gothic.net store.

I had a dream right before Godslayer Jillian's birthday that I sent him a black leather jacket that said "Gothic.net" in yellow letters.
Now I want one.

I don't agree. I know that Gothic.net is a great forum that trys to keep legitimate, but how would it be "Selling out" to have a store on the site? I am not saying that the major focus Gothic.net should be on this possible store. I mean that it would be nice for them to offer a small selection for us who enjoy this site. To believe that it would become the next "Best way" to become Goth is ridiculous as several other Gothic Community sites (like Blueblod.com ) have stores and I don't see any babygoths around wearing their items. I do not see why it would become the next hip thing for them anyway. Not all fledgling Goths have an account here and they probably wouldn't start just because the site had a small boutique of sorts.

I would buy some tees and tanks that said Gothic.net on them.

Oh yes, and I can provide the cheap child slave labor. /sarcasm/
I will also provide the various BDSM themed clothes for all the gimps out there.

Why do people want to turn into a walking advert, am I missing the point?

That IS weird. I had a very similar dream, except it involved something bad (hope my bf doesn't read this (^_^) ). Anyway that doesn't seem like it would be hard to make.
But on topic to the original thought of this thread. What if we made a thread where we (members of gnet) created and then sold products to other members, that way the would be original and not copied (well maybe )?
