I've been gone for quite some time (or so it feels - time is an interesting thing...) but now I return. I hope to be slightly more active this time around, but we'll see how things pan out...
For anyone who has joined since, or doesn't remember, or something:
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I'm currently studying Drawing and Applied Arts at Uni, which is just fabulous! This enables me to fully indulge myself in my hobbies - drawing, knitting, sewing, painting and reading. Apart from that, I work part-time in a supermarket, making sure the people of Bristol have ready access to loo roll and longlife milk *superhero pose* and spend considerable mounts of time propping up the SU bar.
2. Where are you from?
Liverpool, England. Yes,
that Liverpool. It's a wonderful place that doesn't entirely deserve it's reputation.
3. Who is your favorite author?
Han Suyin, James Herbert, Edgar Allan Poe (+10 cliche points!), Harper Lee, JK Rowling.
4. What are your favorite films?
How long have you got? Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Shaun of the Dead, The Innocents, The Science of Sleep, Pan's Labyrinth, 28 Days Later, Labyrinth... actually that took no time at all. Hmmm.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I'm gonna go with my original answer here - "One More Time" by the Cure. 'Cos I AM that soppy.
6. At your funeral?
Whatever gets people dancing. Don't mope over me.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
If I were to choose the time of my demise, I would find a nice secluded stretch of shoreline, strip naked and swim out until exhausted, then just slip under the water and away from life...
8. What kind of casket would you want?
If not a watery grave, then a biodegradable one.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Knee length, swishy black dress, plain grey tights, over-sized slouchy black cardigan and stompy stompy boots
I like to keep things simple.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Very, very little.
11. What's your favorite band?
The Cure, or Radiohead. I can NEVER decide. I think my brain may implode if I try.
I'm also partial to the Coral, Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Flaming Lips, Depeche Mode, the Beatles, Gong, the Arcade Fire, Tool, Super Furry Animals, the Manic Street Preachers... shall I just leave it there? Not terribly Goth, but hey! That's part of why I came here in the first place.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
Bog-standard state school education (largest secondary school in the whole north-west of England!), and now studying for a degree in Drawing and Applied Arts at a former polytechnic. How terribly working class, pip pip!
13. Why did you join?
1. To investigate Goth without risking face-to-face interaction
2. The other members seemed intelligent and reasonable polite
