If I were to make a song........

Specifically for some of you guys to remix, would you prefer it in a tracker file of FruityLoops?

You can download it easy as piss from a torrent. I know people will be able to use that a lot easier than they will a tracker, but I've been using trackers for years now, so I dunno........

Which tracker are you using? If you could give people a little introduction to Renoise or something we could probably use it (plus, I'd much appreciate it because Renoise confused the fuck out of me).

Can you use it for anything else such as programming drums? If not, can you suggest something else?

How do the plugins sound on MadTracker? Realistic, or like shitty MIDI files?

You mean VST / VSTi's? They sound how they should.

You need to load samples. On the right hand side at the top is a black box, and right below that are a bunch of icons. Click on the piece of paper one. A new thing will pop up in the black box that has "01-New Instrument" next to it. Double click that and a window will pop open. Find the icon that looks like a folder, and click that. It should automatically take you to the sample folder. There'll be a folder called "Drums". There's a few hit samples in that, but not many. To hear it just click on it once.

Reason's alright, but I've had compatibility issues with a few VST's and VSTi's. I like my shit to work properly.

I did all that but how do I use these samples to program a beat?

I even loaded up the Drumatic VST but I can't figure out how to use that to program beats either.

Drumatic is assholes.

What you want to do is press the record button at the top (Red circle). the Q key is the root, so it will give you the original pitch of the sample. You don't click to put in a sample, you type. Let me see if I can make a video for you.......

I figured out how to add the samples to the tracks and program multiple tracks. Just use the keyboard to type a letter/number and it gets added to the track position in focus.

Where can I get samples and can I use VST's the same way?

Edit; Yes but apparently Drumatic doesn't want to work. The synth plugin works superbly!
