Hello.

Hi there. I'm Seraphim, and I'm new as you can all plainly see. I'm an obsessive horror/fantasy author, looking for people that will share my interests and help me out. I certainly hope I'm in the right place. If this is the community where I can post fiction and talk to others, I will be very happy and proud to share my work with you. Thank you, and I hope I can enjoy my stay here.

You're certainly welcome here, but ever since the original admins of these forums abandoned it, its shift has focused greatly away from literature. Still, there are plenty of us that will enjoy your contributions.

Although the only horror/fiction author I've read is Lovecraft, I'm in love with the genre and would love to read your writings. Welcome to the site =P.

It is my humble opinion that ANY forum that truly represents the interests of the goth community should be by definition at least partly focused on things literary.

Basically, you can take the gothic out of literature, but you can't take literature out of the goth.

Also, you can lead a mallgoth to a book, but you can't make him think.

(and other such clichéd appropriated sayings)

Oh, and by the way: welcome, Seraphim!

Wow, thank you for all the replies. Here are my answers to the questions:

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job) Basically, I write and draw constantly. I don't have a job at the moment, but I'm applying at the local library soon. My other hobbies include decorating, reading and collecting dolls.

2. Where are you from?
Seattle, the rainy capital of the US.

3. Who is your favorite author?
Stephen King and some of my author friends.

4. What are your favorite films?
Sleepy Hollow, Nightmare Before Christmas,The Ring/Ringu, Edward Scissorhands, The Omen, The Crow and maybe a few others. I'm not too huge into movies.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
"Ever Dream" or "Sleeping Sun" by Nightwish.

6. At your funeral?
Hmm...that's a hard one. Probably "Higher Than Hope" by Nightwish.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
I want to get hit by a schoolbus. Sure, it's painful, but...think about it. The children on the bus will be traumitized and never ride a bus again, the driver will never drive again and be scarred for life, the surrounding witnesses will scream and cry...hey man, if you're going to die, at least have it be entertaining.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
Hmm...probably just some generic coffin, I guess.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Oooh, I have too many. If I had to pick one...my Tripp NYC skirt, my purple lacy corset and any kind of shoes (boots, converse, Mary-Janes...)

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
My education. Long story.

11. What's your favorite band?
NIGHTWISH. Also, Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil, Evanescence (going to Canada on Thursday to see them, woo!), Korn, Metallica, System of a Down...and so many others.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
Still in High School.

13. Why did you join?
I was looking for a community where I can find people that I can relate to, and a place to post my fiction.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Female.

Thanks for your time, I hope you enjoyed scrolling through my answers. Thanks again!

So... is "Seraphim" your real name? That would kick the most ass as the most unique first name I've ever heard attached to a live human being. If not, 's still OK... and welcome.

Do grace us with the literary skill. I love a good story.

Hello, welcome SalvationInfinity. I'm rather jealous that I didn't think of such a creative way to die
