So I went to work today and there were extra guys from overseas. As is the custom with these guys, they tend to bring gifts when they arrive. Usual gifts are cookies or candies from their home country that they leave in the kitchen for everyone to share. Sometimes they bring especially nice stuff, even though it's not from their home country.
Well one guy brought little sampler boxes of Godiva chocolate. The sampler boxes contained an assortment of little chocolate doohickies in different shapes.
Well...
I am pleased to report that Godiva makes...
a chocolate...
...
...
...
Starfish.
That is all.

I'm not sure. It just looks like I was a newbie such a short time ago, that I don't think that time has passed away

Eyes,
I hear you. It's a pain, and if you ask a friend for help, you have to answer "Yes, I tried that already" so many times before you finally get around to trying things you hadn't thought of.
It's probably something simple like an unassigned partition label or a partitioning/formatting oversight. Pull up fdisk if you have dos access or use the latest version of Partition Magic if you don't. Look at the drive and make sure that there is an active partition selected (you need one of those even if it is a slave drive.) Looking at the drive that way will probably point out the problem.
Good luck with this ... it's these nagging little annoyances that drive all of us Windows users crazy! That's why my favorite Windows help site is www.annoyances.org.

I just painted my toenails, which is something I havent done in years. I felt so silly about it afterwards, that I had to go and get my slippers, just so I wouldn't look at 'em every few seconds.
Yeah, I'm kinda weird like that.

Whoa, I'm sorry! Two years older than me then... In that picture you looked 16 or something. I mean that as a compliment, really.
In that case, let me just say - Hot damn, you are beautiful.
(This should be in the picture thread, by the way. But hey, who am I to complain when presented with such a luscious sight?)

Sorry, but i'm still stuck on Manimal's and Ben's tech support mentionings...i found this little ditty in Computer World magazine's backpage column called "The Shark Tank" which recounts odd and amusing tales of tech support:
Still a Lot to Learn
New kid in the IT department is fresh from an IT support training institiute. But pilot fish isn't so sure about the training when the kid spots a pile of old hard drives in the hardware repair shop, waiting to be recycled. He fetched up a Seagate hard drive and asked if it was 56K or 33.6K, sighs fish. We told him it was much faster a DSL disk drive.
...and to think i'm going to be working with people like that soon.
*Shakes head*
i can't wait.

Jill, age ain't nothin' but a number, baby! That is definitely one of my slogans these days. And the number isn't even that important.
I have a certain threshold, a line crossed, a moment that passes when I read someone's post here and say to myself "There is a person who's comments interest me. They express themselves articulately and say things worth hearing." I had that moment reading one of your posts some time ago. and I'm sure others here feel the same way.
So don't worry about it. You are respected and appreciated here, and your contributions are welcome.

What gets me is that she looks so good with the different colors, but also looks like a different person. Xng, you're right ... most people can't pull that off.
Justmeuk, no kidding ... lovely pictures. Yep, no matter what color you choose, you're the kind of girl that makes me trip over invisible cracks in the sidewalk when I walk by her. Very lovely, indeed.
