I can't read Salvatore anymore. I'm still mad about Sojourn.

What about it didn't you like? (If we talked about this before which I kind of feel like we did, I don't remember your issue)

The last battle with the blind ranger is epic!!!

Salvatore if nothing else, is amazing at descriptive fight sequences.

The cheesy language I guess and the feeling that I could go through the book with a pen circling where improvements could have been made, a lot of sentences just seemed awkward. Much like DnD players!

Compared to the first two I was just underwhelmed.

The first 2?

The first 3 books he wrote was the Icewind Dale Trilogy, which started with "The Crystal Shard." He didn't write Homeworld Exile or Sojourn until way later.

The first 3 in the series pale in comparison to the Icewind Dale trilogy...

Granted I agree he's not the greatest author in the world. I mainly read his books for the fight sequences. Plus it's a nice story.

and you shush about Dungeons and Dragons players... (I've played for like 10 years) XDDD <3

Sorry I meant the first two in the Legend of Drizzt series. I know I've read other books by him before but I can't for the life of me remember what they were, was a long time ago.

Hahahahaha, I jest about DnD players XD my first boyfriend was a huge fan and ditched me a lot for like eight hour long games, I'm a little bitter towards the franchise.

I keep busting up laughing every few pages. It's GREAT. =D

One of the reasons I love Gaiman so much is because he's so.. versatile. He can produce the more serious American Gods, the hilarious Anansi Boys, the creepy not-quite-children's book Coraline, and then the actual children's books. Plus Sandman. DON'T FORGET SANDMAN. Ahhh.. Gaimanlove<3

I still haven't seen the Coraline movie, I'm still mad over the Stardust film, I'm afraid something similar happened.

I like his short stories the best though, Smoke And Mirrors is probably my favourite book right now. I'm considering buying this zombie book just because a short story of his is in it.

Gaiman is a god. Not sure of what, yet, or even if his (His?) influence is that great, but he's (He's) a helluvan author!

Currently reading through the Undead series, by MJ Davidson. Damn you, Pineapple!!!

I enjoyed Stardust and Coraline. I'm a huge Neil Gaiman fan, ever since reading Good Omens I've torn through Gaiman and Pratchett's works.

Also Saya - For the record if you wanted to hang out with me, D&D would be the one getting ditched. Just like my WoW activities.. I see so many game addicts, but I can't figure out for the life of me why they'd want to do that over possibly hittin' it with their female counterpart... or simply having a lovely conversation and spending time together.. it baffles me.

You play WoW?!!!!

Which server? I wanna play with you now XD I started playing because of the same guy, I got bored going over to his house and just either watching him play WoW or pretending it didn't bother me by bringing over my DS.

Still haven't read Pratchett, will get on that.

GET ON IT NOW, WOMAN.

Slightly off topic, but two years ago, my stepdad bought me a green and purple plush dragon. I named her Octarine, cause I'm awesome like that.

Finished David Suzuki's Green Guide, fascinating stuff. Now on to Nightmares and Dreamscapes by Stephen King.

I bought that book just so I could read Night Flyer.
