[quote=Ben Lahnger;601185]Seeing the tombstone of Mel Blanc, who supplied the voice of Bugs Bunny and hundreds of other Warner Brother's cartoon characters. Didn't we all learn sarcasm from Bugs Bunny?

RIP Mel Blanc...what a great loss in the cartoon industry. I bet he would be disgraced with todays cartoons

2 boxes of Gevalia and a complimentary coffee maker for a single payment of $15? That makes my day.

I may have felt that way when I was younger but now destroying a school is like burning a book, anathema.

What made my day was working on the new house =)

Learning a recent poll reports 71% of Americans say Sarah Palin's not qualified to be President of the United States.

This is the "WHAT'S MADE YOUR DAY?" thread, so you're saying the death of Alexander McQueen has made your day? Okay, but that seems strange to me. I suspect it should have been posted somewhere else. Hey, there's actually a whole FASHION secion where like-minded individuals might have been interested in this.

meh.

This HAS made my day ... some of the many, many, MANY reasons I will NEVER OWN A MAC!!!!!

And lawd, it made me laugh so. I actually had to stop the video at the "boat anchor" remark and catch my breath! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

I really love Regretsy, apparently some guy on Etsy is trying to sell a button from World War 11. I like the idea that World War 11 is a Canadian only affair with Queen Elizabeth 16 versus the evil Bloc Quebecois.

This is great news.

What made my day is finding out that due to the massive snow storm I will not be taking an exam tomorrow that I really need more time to study for, thankfully I now have the time I need.

I'm making chicken rogan josh for the first time tonight, and I found a nice easy recipe so I can make it from scratch without cheating! I don't want to use those pre-mixed pastes and curry sauces in jars, so I get to do it all myself.

Yup. I was bored, turned on the TV and watched the news.

Well, I was just concerned because McQueen has generated comments in multiple threads around this board while the death of J.D. Salinger didn't seem to raise anywhere near as much interest. It may be just me but I value literature over fashion any day of the week. Literature has the capacity to last centuries. I doubt if anyone here could name any of McQueen's counterparts from 50 years ago without looking them up.

But it may be I have that opinion because I really wasn't that impressed with his designs.

Matt Lauer talking about getting to carry the Olympic torch:

"You put on that silly outfit, and then before you get your turn, they give you a pep talk. 'That flame is the greatest symbol for peace the world has ever known.'

I don't care how cool you are, after someone tells you that and the runner before you approaches to hand the torch over, you turn to jelly."
