TAT, 25, I'm a french classical guitar teacher (from Lyon).
My influences : Early Music, J.S. Bach, H. Purcell, J. Dowland, Arvo Part, Laurie Anderson, Philip Glass, Dead Can Dance, Sopor Aeternus, Robert Wyatt, King Crimson, ELP, Syrinx...
Books : P. K. Dick, Lovecraft, Nietzsche, Bacon, Hermes Trismegistus...

Welcome, I live in one of your old colonial cities, New Orleans...
I don't know any French as I woefully neglected foreign languages in high school (and paid the price for it in college with tutoring bills... I think I'm going to have to just go for the immersion thing and go to France soon... learn it or suffer...).
Anyways, bonjour... you should come to New Orleans sometime for beignets and cafe au lait... see if New Orleans can still come close to what you can get in the old country.
