Cool! I'd still like to know if anyone knows of a site to look up family history.

My most famous ancestors are Adam and Eve since they got to talk to a snake, eat some fruit, and damn all of humanity

I know a good site to look up family history, and you can get plaques, really cool printouts, etc., but I will have to find the card. (Got a printout for my family detailing the history back to Robert the Bruce). Will get that to you folks when I find it.

As for me, mostly outlaws, I'm sorry to say. My great-grandfather was a direct descendant of the James clan (Frank actually), although Jesse had a portrait painted of himself at the age of 21 and gave it to my great-grandmother as a gift. It now hangs in a museum, needless-to-say. On my pop's side, William Lawson --owner of the notorious Nottingham Castle -- was a direct descendent. (Rubs eyes and boo hoos. Why couldn't I be related to someone cool like Robin Hood. It would have to be the infamous Sheriff of Nottingham). Oh well, on the plus side I'm a distant relative of Admiral Byrd, although knowing my luck he will probably turn out to have 'skeletons' in his closet, too. At least the bad guys were up front about it.

My Great-Great Grandfather taught Sir Ernest Rutherford at high-school and influenced him out of class to go forth and become what he became.

Yeah, my whakapapa/ancestry influenced the workings behind atomics.

Woo.

It'd be cool if I happened to be a descendent of Richie Valens, or some great musician.

Rob Roy MacGregor. Played by Liam Neeson in a film about him... that's good enough for me.

I don't know about any individual ancestors, but I know I have lots and lots and lots of them. Growing up alone with only my Mom and my sister, I was very suprised when in high school I discovered I have an enormous extended family. A cousin of mine got into doing our geneology online, and I found out I was related to other kids in school, even a teacher, as well as several venerable old families in town. Of course, these people aren't actually part of my life, for the most part, but it's interesting to know all the same.

I know that in my father's side there was a story of 7 brothers that kept stealing horses and making mischief, so the judge at the time sentenced them to go out their seperate ways. They did as they were bid, or I'm sure they would have been hung, and went all over the South to settle. I must have unknown cousins everywhere!!

On my mother's side there is the story of my great-grandfather who saved an Indian chief's life and got to pick my great-grandmother as his reward. I hear she had 18 kids before she died.

Don't know much about my dad's side of the family. Nor do I really care to know. On my mom's side, I'm a direct descendent of General Abe (Japan).

That's all I've got.

I have a distant cousin (not sure how distant) but she was the producer of the Rosie O'Donnell Show.

It'd be really awesome if I was a descendant of Gianlorenzo Bernini. He's my sculpture god.

I don't know of any famous ancestors/relatives of mine...

Oh yeah I just remembered that my brother was interviewed and broadcast nation wide on the radio after the tech shooting and sound clips from that interview were used on the news quite a few times

ok, so, one of my ancestors is William Dampier the Explorer. I actually found him mentioned in a book i was reading on tattoos. I can't remember anything else about him really.
I have ancestors that fought in the revolutionary and civil war.
I had ancestors on both the confederate and union side. weird huh.

On my mother's side: Her ancestors were White Russians named Trotski who fled to Africa during some political upheaval.

On my father's side: My father is related to Chris Barnard, the first doctor to perform a successful heart transplant.

Oh, and just a sidenote, my uncle used to be Charlize Theron's neighbour when she still lived in Benoni, way before she moved to the US and became a star.

I'm adopted, and all I know about my bloodline is that my parents have generic names and are Irish Catholics O_O

I do not know very much about my family, just that my grandmother came over to america from England, and as she was waiting to board the ship to come over, the last three people where told the ship was full, and to go home. She got so pissed off she threw her papers into the water.. A few minutes later, some nuns who had been watching the line can up to her and told her there was another ship leaving soon and she was welcome to come aboard then. Since she had children and would be last in line, no one would bother to check her papers. So After living here for the past 60 years, she has never gotten new papers, or done anything to become a citizen. My mothers side is half English and half Greek. My [dead] fathers side is half Polish and half Irish. Pretty white family yes?

My mothers grandmothers side lived in Greece for about a century and then some English man came over and fell in love with my great grandmother. He took her to England to raise kids.

My fathers grandfathers side I sadly know nothing about.. My father is dead so I cannot ask him, and I do not see much of the family from his side. So I guess I do not get to know.

My uncle George Christie is the leader of The Hell's Angels. I love him to death!

I think there might be more, but that is all I can think of for now..

So I am Greek, English, Polish and Irish. Yes!
