Hi Animus. I do like your picture, "Imp". The figure's stance makes it look rather dejected, is that intended? I like the little growths, (wings?), that sprout from her back, which, together with the trailing flares and big feet give it a very earthbound feeling.

Yes, I wanted her to look dejected--although it's hard to see her eye (an ominous stare)--a foreboding glare. The drawing has been considerably shrunk that a lot of the detail is blurred or missin'. Here's another link for a bigger view--it's quite big --> Bigger Imp <--

The drawin' is merely my portrayal of a fallen angel/imp. Her wings were ripped from her, she is emaciated and scarred--her clothing is torn and tattered. She is wraithlike and earthbound. As I was drawing this I was thinkin' of what suggests a threat or shocks us as a society.

A lot more was goin' through my head as I was drawin' this . . . but I won't get into it--I'll be here forever.

I'm glad ya like the drawin'--I plan to finish it. Perhaps, even do another and change a view things.

Thanks, Sanctus--it's a rough sketch that's why it's messy. I'm still workin' on it.

Here's another sketch I did quite a bit ago (years)--never finished it, don't know why.

Animus, nice style, in both of the pics.

Dis, I did some abstract art last year too... The teacher told us to paint war and peace...your works just remind me.

Draconysius, when you figure it out Im sure you will have a great design in your band stuff. The skull in your website is awesome.

I love Brom as well and have the same opinion. I first found his art on a Magic The Gathering card, and later realized he also did the drawing of Drizt, a known drow elf throughout the forgotten realms. You've probably already read it, but I recommend you pick up the book "The Plucker ."

Also, nice art.

Here follows my first attempts at abstract art. These works are intended to enstill hoplessness, horror, and sorrow.

Thanks for the suggestions, by the way. I actually feel renewed and inspired to create a good band logo after that abstract I made earlier today.

It's nice, but "Angst Manga"? Are you creating a new genre of art? If you are, I'll have to kill you...

Draconysius, I really like `Weeping Fields` and `Warped Perception`, I was wondering how you created them, because they are really good !!!.

A piece of artwork that I painted on one of the desks in the Art block.

Thankfully, a photo was taken before my art teacher demanded I was it off.

Really great pictures Happy Dude. I just asked about your avatar in the kindness game thread and now I see you've already answered the question here. As for imagination, it's easiest to be inspired by strong emotions, so try drawing what realy turns you on, or something that makes you cry, or a fantasy landscape you'd love to discover etc. In my opinion, art should be filled with passion, so draw the things you are passionate about.

Disorder, you are a vandal and a hoodlum! * The Wiz sends a huggle.*

Thank you for the encouragement and the advice now to play with sharp objects and see of it either turns me on or makes me cry... or both.
Fantastical landscape that's an interesting one. I too believe that art should be full of passion, emotion and all that jazz, I just can't seem to find any I've got a really bad case of apathy.

Euh, here's my stuff. I didn't size them down, so you may not want to full view them, unless you have a high resolution on your monitor.

Wiz suggested I do a fantastical landscape and because I've been playing a bit of FarCry lately I drew an island.
