It's been too long. Hopefully there's been a complete turnover since I was last here.
I'm the GBW. I'm pretty wholly uninteresting beyond that, but I could have some fun here.

Its very different. Not necessarily bad, and not necessarily better, but just another cup of tea I guess.
Long story short is that much of the old members went away after a lot of crazy banning and drama, you might notice a lot of their posts are missing, and there are no moderators here anymore, so its basically a free for all XD Its also not focused on the literature anymore and we lost a lot of our good writers, although there are still a few talents around.
Good to have you back

The more I read about Gnet's old days the more I wish I had been around then. It sounds much more intelligent and meaningful that what I've found here since I joined.

You must be talking about a time before me. Gnet doesn't seem all that different from what I remember a couple years ago. Granted, a lot of the established members are gone, but we still have elitists, literature snobs, music snobs, some nicer people, some not-so-nice people, etc.

Yeah, the influx of a whole bunch of ickle goffies kinda ruined it for everyone. Already I can see that that's still going quite strong.
Why did my post count drop so low, though? That's weird.

It dropped? Hmm maybe it was all those deleted threads. But still I'm not sure it counts against your post count. Oh and we do have one mod but he (or she, I'm not exactly sure which, never has been on enough for a meaningful conversation) only takes care of trolls long after they have done a great deal of damage. In fact the mod has even banned people who we agree in consensus shouldn't have been banned.
