Well, the way I see it, anyone with depression or pessimistic perspectives can kill themselves for love; it's an attempted justification, often times. I would never put that on anyone I love.

The only exceptions would be:
1.) I would not kill my family
2.) I would not leave my family and say "Screw you, I love him more."
3.) I would not kill another person (unless it was someone I hated.)
