The Burning Man
Does anyone know where I can find the specifics on The Burning Man Festival?
I want to go sometime but I need to know everything about it first.

Did you even attempt to try looking for it on your own?
If you Google "The burning man" the first link to come up is
http://www.burningman.com/

Back on topic, what is there to know about Burning Man? It's pretty simple really, they build a giant wooden man, and after a few days of partying and stuff, they light it on fire. The name of the event is pretty self explanatory. There's all sorts of shit to do there, tons of freaks, an all together good time. Just don't tell your parents you're going, since I get the idea you're young. If they look at some of the pics floating around the net they might freak... It's really an "anything goes" kinda place.

There are many clips on YouTube of various activities and of the landscape. WARNING: if you go, DON'T video record Critical Tits. It's a parade of topless women on bicycles. They don't appreciate it and will call you a perv.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I love that movie. Do you speak of the one from the 70s or the Nicholas Cage remake? I've seen the original, but not the Nicholas Cage one. I've heard about the Cage one, and it sounds... ruined.

It is in reference to the ritual depicted in The Wicker Man if I'm not mistaken.
Btw like in pretty much all cases, that remake was a superfluous, commercialized piece of crap.

The original Wicker Man was one of the best film's I've ever seen. The remake... I think I fast-forwarded through most of it. I would have stopped watching altogether, but just had to see Nicholas Cage burn.

At least that was in keeping with the original. I half expected him to be saved.

Plus, bad jokes in bad moments are kind of ruin the whole thing.

I'm sorry, I did a terrible job phrasing that queastion.
What I was trying to ask was if anyone could give me the specifics on the activities, because I only have a basic idea of what goes on.
Has anyone been to it?

If there's one sole thing anyone must know about Burning Man, it's this:
If you can only think to bring money, don't bother going, you don't belong there.

Should be going next year or the year after. I need to save up a bit, but I have a small troupe of people to take with me, and I'll see about making a fair few little things to gift to people. Between the House Of Fun and the Arizonan Demon's collective, we should get a nice big camp sorted out.
I will spend the whole time swathed in semi-opaque layers to keep the sun off, or pouring suncream over myself. Should be so worth it, though.
