I did, a bit, but there isn't a store I can buy cds, here in this little town. I was planning on getting some off Amazon, or something. Until then, I better stay away from this thread, lol.

Sham 69 has two good songs in my opinion, Borstal Breakout and Borstal Breakout. Discharge, are THE gods of HC and D-Beat, fuck, the whole genre of D-Beat is named after them!!!! Wormboy, what did you think of the list? I kind rushed it, so if you want some weird S. African stuff, I have some of that too.

Want some real punk? Listen to Die Toten Hosen.

Storm Trooper, seeing as you're the punk fanatic I hope to convert you to the phenomena that is DTH.

German Punk is something most entertaining.

But besides that, I prefer to stick to dark wave and have only had a few dabbles into Punk. I can't get into the hard-core stuff. I listened to G.I.S.M. once and couldn't bear to listen to more than 20 seconds of each song.

So....

The Clash
DK
Sex Pistols
DTH

And that's about it.

Also, check out Proudflesh. They're a post-Crucifix punk band with hints of metal.

Love Die Toten Hosen. And 45 grave, Subhumans (UK), Rudimentary Peni.

Thats the only punk I have anyway, will get around to finding more sometime.

I likes pop punk too and the The Distillers are ok, I dunno if I'd put them in punk or pop punk.

I noticed lol. Feels nostalgic listening to it, pop punk was the first music I ever bought, and I still think its pretty catchy...

Any suggestions on what music I should look into first, based on what I said before? I'm especially liking Rudimentary Peni and Subhumans at the moment.

I'd love to see Subhumans play.

Pop Punk is the same as every other genre. The good bands are good, the bad bands are bad, and usually the latter get more exposure.

The Buzzcocks, The Motherfucking Browns, Wednesday 13 and other fun Pop Punk bands are
