Welcome.

Id suggest reading the stickies. A little more information would give us all a few more chatting topics.

And make sure your shots are up to date.

Okay, red text on a black background will cause people here to hate you.

Make it something easier on the eyes and tell us more about yourself.

thanks for the tips, still getting used to this. Hmmm. . . more to talk about, okay, so im origianlly from new orleans, people think its funny they say im the way i am because of that, but i disagree, so why do you think people dress like this? i do because when i was about 5 i saw some goths at jazz land (new orleans six flags) and knew as soon as i saw them that i was going to dress like that when i got older, and here i am today, so once again why do you dress the way you do?

I dress as I must for work. I dress as I do on my own time because I like it.

And, the bit in the stickies with a suggested short bio would be more helpful.

Yeah, I don't remember people for "Nawrlands" all dressing in black. In fact, those people like everything brightly COLORED! So I don't get that supposition either.

A dull life or not, you must have interests of some kind.
I refuse to believe that someone's life is so dull that they cant even vaguely stimulate a conversation.

The wonderful short bio is given so that people who suck at intro's (like myself, and you as well) can put a little bit out there so that the group can get to know you. Thus far, Ive concluded that you have recently moved and want to know why people dont "understand" you, or at the very least the way you dress.

im having lots of problems with people understanding me, but thats to be expected when you move, sadly enough. And now its not just people at school it's also my parents, they are refusing to buy me any black clothes and seeing as how im still in high school and dont have a job i still depend on them to buy me clothing so lifes a bitch for me at the moment

Hmm.
I think many people can go their entire lives without believing that theyve been understood.
Not having the clothing you desire may feel terrible, but in no way should that ever alter the way you think. One can still appreciate the darker side of things without an entirely black wardrobe.

And you'd be amazed at how cheap black dye can be.

LOL nice, but not all clothing can be dyed, trust me i've tried and failed many times

I do realize that i dont have to dress in black to feel right but i still feel better in black. . . Maybe black is just a safty blanket for me? Oh, and i don' like being told what to do with my life. . . so being told not to waer what i want just pisses me off at the best of times so it really just bothers me when they say things like that.

My dad always has to comment on my clothes and that gets old super fast. . . epecially when i wear my tripp pants he's like go take those damn things off. . . i hate that bull shity attitude he has towards my clothes

This is really poetic.

I know you are replying to a comment, but you have the beginning of a philosophy here. Seriously.

Queen of the Damned MURDERED the real story of Lestat I was so sad because the Vampie Lestat is by far the best Anne Rice book.

Things like his maker was wrong and that's a big detail, not to mention lestat has blonde hair blue eyes that was why he was chosen to be turned.

OH Lelio the wolfkiller, a hamlet of vampires. (honestly tho he did have a slightly intense relationship with his mother the same way hamlet did. Can any one say Oedipus Complex?!)

Well it did stick to the story better than Queen of the Damned but I think it's the same thing as EVERY book made movie.

If you ddn't read the book the movie would be excellent, but when you read the book of a movie you almost always dissapoint yourself.

The logical reason for this is that to make a movie they need to cut down the main story to fit into the script, they only have a set limit of time to smoosh the story into, not many people would want to sit with a 4-6 hour movie. So something is always cut from the story that is considered to not be an important detail.

I liked the movie for Interview With A Vampire, but I read the book first and didn't like it. The book was so flat and colourless if that makes sense, the movie made it better.

I agree and i kind of hate seeing a movie made from a book, you always know that its going to be different but you never know what will be cut from the movie so you get dissapointed if its a part you particularly enjoy. But i also like it because if there is a book out there that you could never really get into you can just see the movie and semi-understand the story
