Delurk, Whatever, Etc.
Ok, so haven't really been "lurking" but new. I found these questions, so I guess I might as well answer them.
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
Write, play bass, read. I sell antiques, mostly books and restored furniture.
2. Where are you from?
The swamps of Florida, USA. (Well, not swamps; the humid cities and suburbs of FL.)
3. Who is your favorite author?
There are so many. Victoria Holt, maybe.
4. What are your favorite films?
Buffalo 66, Decline of Western Civilization, Fight Club, Michael Collins, Weekend at Bernies
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
IF I get married, presuming I have a wedding... Something not embarassing or expected. "Sex and Violence" by The Exploited, maybe. Never really thought of it.
6. At your funeral?
"My Way" by Frank Sinatra
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
OD'ing on something that will put me to sleep and slowly stop my heart.
8. What kind of casket would you want?
I want to be cremated.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
I honestly don't have one at this time.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
I absolutely hated it. No, my grandmother was alive then, so having her (if that counts).
11. What's your favorite band?
Discharge (Not typically "goth", I know. Sorry!)
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
Bachelor's in Journalism. Theater was my minor. I'm considering going back for library science.
13. Why did you join?
I miss the days of AGF.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Female

Salutations!
Don't worry about being "typically goth" either, hardly anyone is around these parts.
Welcome to gothic.net.

Hi, thanks for the replies.
Jillian: I'd recommend Discharge if you enjoy other D-Beat/Crust type stuff, or if you are a fan of Motorhead. I think my favorite song by would currently be "Corpse of Decadence." (Now that track title is something "goth" about the band, hehe!)
Minyaliel: AGF is for alt.gothic.fashion. It used to have alot of neat posts, but last I checked was mostly ads with few real threads. (Please noone say "If ya miss it why not go back there?" I know I opened myself up for that, though.)

You mean like an hour long presentation on string theory by Paris Hilton?

Hehe... It would be interesting, I guess, to hear what her grasp of it is... Just flip around the channels, hit MTV (what else?) and become tranfixed at the stupidity. Can't say it sounds nice but niether does a car accident or cancer.

I like crust punk, but I've never gotten into Discharge specifically.

Discharge!!! EXPLOITED!!! FUCKING WELCOME!
As for you Jillian,
I'd recommend the Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing album.
