I'm not a big fan of tragus piercings, but they are very popular where I live.

I say, go for it!

When doing the tragus, make sure that the piercer does not use a piercing gun. Piercing guns are alright for the lobe, but definitely not on the tragus. It'll only swell larger and have a very high risking infection. Just check that out!

^_^

I like them. I just got 2 nape piercings about 2 weeks ago. I had a tragus piercing for a little bit, but I developed a nasty little metal allergy after i hit my head. So I got this big blood blister that never went away for about 3 weeks and it actually started rejecting and growing out! I didnt think that could happen in something that wasn't a surface piercing! Now that my little allergy has cleared up I might do it again.

How old are you, kitten?! Your mom seems really nice, if she'll let you get obscure piercings AND a full back tattoo.

Most parents around here allow their 13 year olds to get tongue, tragus, nose, labret, eyebrow, and full ear piercings. Piercings are very common among the "gangster" people, and that is what populates most of this city. I am not much suprised that kitten's mother allows her to do so. Two freshmen, and a senior have tattoos in my high school. If your parents allow you, I do not see why you shouldn't take the opportunity.

IM 16 turning 17 in december. Mom wont pay for the back tattoo, but she WILL pay for the Anklet that Im SUPPOSED to get done in December. Its little shooting stars around my ankle.

13!!! year olds with tattz and piercings? Thats outragous, lol. I think people should wait until they are at leaste 15 or 16 for ink. at least 15 for piercings other than the ear. I think its reasonable, but not TOO conservative. I just cant see allowing a 13 year old kid get piercings and ink. me and my boyfriend were talking about this stuff, we agreed on the above rules for our children. . I guess it depends on the parents...but still...13.

If I was allowed to get in k when I was 13, I would have a giant dragon, not somthing I really want right now.

i had a nape done about two months ago...but had to remove it...
getting through my parents was EASY...its my bosses that have the problems....i had to let my 5 mil holes mend because they said that it would make clients squeemish. i've just got my two lobals, two conches and two helixs on either side, left...

watch out for those people that use the piercy gun thingies...they're unhygenic and the holes take longer to heel...and when your piercer gives you advice, take it...

If the piercer picks up a piercing gun, bolt out the door as fast as your nervous little legs will carry you. Don't let anyone near you with one of those.

Orbitals look awsome, and unless you put it in a wierd spot, it's unobtrusive... but tragus piercings always looked a bit awkward to me; make it hard to wear earphones with them, and definitely put personal music players out of the question when healing. Never much liked the look of them either. But, it's your ear to decorate as you wish. :3

Ah, well I hope all goes well with your orbital! I'm not a fan of tragus piercings simply because when I was little, I was always a bit freaked out by my now-sister-in-law's tragus. Never knew what it was called, though.

I'll third that bit about the piercing gun--those are rarely actually a good idea. Make sure you really check out the places you might be going...take a look at how they're going to do it and whether that's the proper way. A mutual friend of mine actually got an infection that impaired her hearing for awhile because of a botched piercing. Just be careful.

Can you define "shoved em through" for me? It sounds pretty brutal. o_o

I pierced my own tragus (my dad is really against me doing it and he hasn't noticed yet) and it looks really good. They're not that popular where I live. But I love tragus piercings, I think they're great!!! But I am not a big fan on orbital helix piercings. They're just, blah, to me.
