I read tarot for the mexicans I work with. If we didnt' have Hugo the bilingual, we'd all be lost.
But Hugo's an idiot. Well, he can do stupid things, anyway.
Gloria is probably my best friend there, and she hardly speakls English at all. And I keep wanting to answer her in french.

Fuck damn! My cat just vomited four times in a row, on two different carpets! I was pretty close to chucking up myself after scooping it up.
Now he's ok again, though. He just went right back to eating after it happened, which doesn't surprise me, cuz my cat likes to gorge himself and doesn't know his own limitations.
My nose feels dry.

My Dad, the 54 year old baby-bat passed away on the 13th.
He would have been 55 today, and I keep thinking back to last year when I asked what he wanted for his birthday and he sheepishly told me he wanted to go to a Goth Show. Not one of the clubs that I would take him to on occation, but an actual live show. I bought him a new shirt from one of my favorite shops and took him out to see Rasputina. He had such a good time that he bought a couple of thier albums. I am listening to those cd's now and it makes me smile.
Goodbye, Daddy.
I'll miss you.

Sorry for your loss Rhapsody. Thanks for sharing that. My mom's about your dad's age. What did he die of (if you don't mind me asking something so personal).
Keep your chin up, for this too shall pass, as will we.
And now, for something completely different:
I had a great weekend.
Last Friday, I watched Perry Blake live at Santiago Alquimista, which is a small place on the moorish neighbourhood of Lisbon castle's hillside.
I had a great weekend.
She was there too. I cried to the music (Hunchback of San Francisco). So did she.
I had a great weekend.
We went out to Bairro Alto for a late drink.
I walked her back to her car.
We kissed.
I had a great weekend.
The following night we went out to have a drink.
I drove her home and asked to use her WC (smooth huh?). As soon as I stepped out of the john, she covered my mouth with hers (thus preventing me from crying for help), dragged me to the bedroom, pushed me onto the bed, jumped on me while pulling up her skirt (same uninterrupted movement - she's a ninja, for sure) and then she proceeded to **** me (repeatedly and with lethal force).
I had a great weekend.
Woke up next to her the following day to discover she wanted to be a repeat offender.
I had a great weekend.
She became a repeat offender....
I haven't yet pressed charges.
I had a great week.
So tuesday night a got a special invitation for two for a classy fetishist party (the word fetish derives from the portuguese FEITIĮO (read fey tissot) which means "spell" (spellbound, to be accurate with the context). I attended and she accompanied me. We went back to my place....
I had a great week
Yesterday I paid her a visit and ***** her right back (repeatedly).
I think we're about even now.
I'm pretty sure she won't press charges either.... once she's able to talk and walk again
I had a great fucking weekend (pun intended ).
I wonder when I'll see her again?.... or IF I'll see her again... anyway...
*whistles away happily

Yup!
"Bombs are flying
People are dying
Children are crying
Politicians are lying too
Cancer is killing
Texaco is spilling
The whole world's gone to hell
But how are you?
I'm super
Thanks for asking
All things considered
I couldn't be better I must say
I'm feeling super
Nothing bugs me
Everything is super
When you're
Don't you think I look cute in this hat?
I'm so sorry Mr. Cripple
I just can't too bad for you right now
Because I'm feeling
So insanely super
That event the fact
That you can't walk
Can't bring me down
I'm super
No, nothing bugs me
Everything is super when you're
Don't you think I look cute in this hat
These little pants, this matching tie
That I got at Vogue
I'm super"
Smile if you had it last night.
Smile if you didn't :?

I don't mind at all.
The medical explanation is that he drank himself to death. Liver failure. The acid buildup in his system opened ulcers throughout his G.I. tract, and the lack of platelets and other clotting factors added up to him bleeding to death.
On a psychological level, Dad has always believed that he would die at 54 as his father and grandfather before him did. The mind is a powerful thing, say what you will.
Edible, there are no perfect parents, and no perfect children. Dad and I didn't speak for about 10 years, but the last five have been good. We became friends at an adult level and built a mutual respect. I'm sorry that he's gone, but I am thankful that we'd developed such a close companionship. I'd been taking care of him, making sure he ate, taking him to the doctor, taking him out to the theatre, to dinner, to the club on occation. I took him to the ER. I made the tough decision to have him taken off of life support after a few days. I got to say goodbye.
I am blessed to have had that chance.

Rhapsody, I'm so sorry I overlooked this thread completely the last couple of days!!
I'm glad that your father enjoyed being part of our subculture. It brings great joy to my heart knowing that even at that age people are still discovering themselves. Some of us never truly grow old. I'm sorry that your father's gone, but it's so badass that we had a baby-bat that age!
He may be gone, but he still ROXXORS!
Weren't you buying an old victorian last time you were on? How did that turn out?
And Mael, you lucky bastard! I'm sooo jealous right now! I haven't been laid in going on 4 mos.!!! I've either been too tired/encumbered, recovering from labor, bleeding, recovering from surgery, bleeding or in pain!!!

I'm so happy for you I could puke, smug sodding bastard.
