The Aussie equivalent of "Trailer Park Trash". Generally stereotyped as uneducated, inarticulate people from rural areas.
Basically, anyone with a mullet is automatically considered a bogan - Just cos it looks stupid

I can't see the picture nor can I access the site. They gave me this instead:

I was always amused by the description "All business in the front, party in back" when referencing mullets.
Kinda reminds me of "Liquor in the front, poker in the rear!"

This was just emailed to me and it's perfect for me. So I thought I'd share:
Caffeine is my shepherd;
I shall not doze.
It maketh me to wake in green pastures:
It leadeth me beyond the sleeping masses.
.
It restoreth my buzz.
It leadeth me in to paths of consciousness for its name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of addiction,
I will fear no Equal. For thou art with me.
.
Thy cream and thy sugar, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of The Starbucks.
Thou anointest my day with pep.
My mug runneth over.
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the House of Mocha forever.
- Amen
Okay, maybe it amused me ... because I have had my coffee for the day.

Here in the UK, people say "sn.iggering" all the time! So "snickering" is the US version, then?

"Snickering" would be the US version, but people don't usually use that word in daily conversation. "Giggling" or "laughing" but not snickering.

"S.******" is an echoic, or onomatopoeic word, meaning that it sounds like what it is. I think that it's a bit of overkill to asteriskize it. There's a kid who works at my local Border's who specializes in anime/superhero/ graphic novels. He s.******s constantly; there's no other word that describes it: "Have you - snih-snih-snih- seen THIS one? -snih snih snih- It's RILLY good -snih-".*
Such is the vagary** and beauty of the English language.
* By the way, he creeps the shit out of me.
** Heh heh- I said "vagary."

You know what I learned this wednesday in chemistry?
A stick of dynamite has the same energy as a Snickers and a Milky Way

I learnt a few random things today.
If my brother wasn't named Teak, dad was going to call him GOLF?!?!
And If I wasn't named Ray, the parents were going to call me PINK??!!
