Sql
SQL... If the Devil exists, his language has got to be SQL.
I have spent some days learning the basics of it(not out of my own free will, I am forced to even though I have no use for it) and it is so fucking mind-numbingly boring that I feel like drowning myself in my own mouth water.
Compared to this, basic Microsoft Office and Computer Hardware theory was interresting.
I would welcome a rock to my mouse hand so that my bones would break and leave me unable to attend this for the next 6 weeks.

I agree :P It is this special kind of education. They want us to try out 4 different areas of expertise to see what we would want to work with and what we are talented at. Only I already know, so I have to sit 3 areas of pure boredom I am afraid :P

Ah come on that's the good stuff!!! You can't know the database until you know what links are where and to what tables! Just lie back and think of England =D
Or Denmark, I should say...

Oracle rules. Mature products are reliable and have more tools and documentation.

Well, I mean, I don't know if you saw my intro thread, but I'm a library sciences major. There's a fair amount of crossover into computer related stuff in my coursework and I wouldn't mind studying it a little further in case I want to go back later and get another degree in computers.
I don't have a declared minor yet. I'm still not sure what I want to do with it.

Living in Seattle I can tell you for a fact, have a plan B. Don't give up the education. This city has dozens of great musicians, people playing stuff far superior to what you hear on the radio, that have not "made it" in music and most of them have been doing it full time for years. It's a hard life full of bullshit, ungrateful situations and promises unfulfilled. Have a plan B!
Don't like software then do something else but don't quit.

SQL is easy as pie. It`s all about logic. Don`t make excuses for your own failings.

It is indeed easy, I just can't be fucking bothered with something that is so boring that I want to smash my hands with large rocks.
I have no reason whatsoever to learn SQL other than the fact that I am told to.

OMG just build the damn table with a key field to search in multiple tables. Modules are the best thing ever invented because you only have to correct one table to run a functional search.
Augh!!!!

Yet another week just began. I am now sitting through class, looking like I care, trying to pick something up, but mostly I don't get fuck of what the teacher is saying. Partly because she is speaking in horribly translated danish.

She doesn't speak danish?! That's a pet peeve of mine, if you can't speak the language well and clearly then you damn sure don't need to teach in it. To teach requires clear communication; that's the whole fucking point of teaching, to communicate the ideas students need to learn. At least that's the point in theory, I don't know what the fuck is going on in "universities" today. I can't find a good grad to hire, they are not being taught to think but to regurgitate. I don't need that, I need people with problem solving skills not people that spent the last four or five years memorizing dates and figures. The fucking worlds going ta hell. I hate everybody! fucking fuckers...we were flying through windshields in the snow up hill both ways in flaming pajamas...AND WE LIKED IT!!
