Earth is awesome

I'm actually pretty impressed by how deep oil drills go.

Seriously, fuck the people who got depressed after seeing Avatar. Earth is way cooler than Pandora.

Influence of Nature

by Wordsworth

Therefore am I still
A lover of the meadows and the woods
And mountains, and of all that we behold
From this green earth; of all the mighty world
Of eye and ear, both what they half create
And what perceive; well pleased to recognize
In nature, and the language of the sense,
The anchor of my purest thoughts, the nurse,
The guide, the guardian of my heart, and soul,
Of all my moral being.

That's what she said.

Me too, by the way... I'm always finding new ways to be impressed by our world. Have you seen the crystal caverns in Naica, Mexico? I saw this on cable:

CRAP! When I responded last night that graphic was totally not showing up.

So, somewhat different context today. Oh well.

I was really impressed with it when we hit the mile deep point. Once the Deepwater Horizon incident happened and I realized we'd accomplished this great feat without adequate safety protections and can only service the well site with remote controlled robots, color me not so impressed.

Although, I think the remote controlled robots are kinda awesome.

This can be the Earth appreciation thread in general! I was just really impressed with the graphic. I'd love to have a huge poster of this in my room.

I'm easily impressed in general, but it still kinda boggles my mind. We go past the deepwater vents where eight foot long tube worms live!

Giant, disgusting tube worms *shudder*

Awesome.
And except for the people in there, it could be a photograph of tiny tiny tiny crystals inside a palm-sized geode.

Saya, that nutritional facts chart is cracking me up!

18 FEET?!?!? Not even on my best day! WOW!

And in some respects, thank goodness! LMAO!

That chart is just one more piece of evidence proving that Saya is awesome too!

I imagine it would be difficult to spooge 18 feet.
I like the influences on flavour. That one amused me.

Ever since we saw that chart me and my roommate have been commenting on our food, we're both women but we can't help but think "if we were men, what would our cum taste like?" And I'm thinking it when I see other people eat now too.

Anyway, its hard to follow up on semen, but the transparent sea cucumber, found over 2000 feet under the sea, is pretty fucking weird and awesome to look at.

My cum probably tastes horrible judging by the shit I put in my body.

Back on the earth topic. My Girlfriend has a t-shirt that says "Save the earth : It's the only planet that has chocolate."

I'm going to print a T-shirt which states: Don't save the Earth: It's the only planet that has Mr Meth.

Anyway, since this is a goff site, we must mention the real undead vamps on the planet: The immortal jellyfish. The things you learn, eh? Lestat haven't a chance against these slimy cuties.

Drinking pineapple juice regularly makes a noticeable change in flavour within a few days. ^.^

Not really, as things are actually a little more complex than that but guys who have lots of fruit and veggies do taste better.

No, because vegans are so emasculated that they don't actually produce semen...just puffs of smoke and occasionally small amounts of sand.

Actually, and I'm not just saying this, and this goes into the land of TMI, I used to date a guy who ate meat with every meal and loved cheese. His semen made me vomit every single time I gave him a blow job, it tasted insanely bitter.

I'll have to give more vegans bjs to determine the difference. FOR SCIENCE.

Okay, good. At least someone else is giving TMI. I don't know about vegans, personally, but I've had a guy start eating loads of fruit and drinking pineapple juice daily and there was a marked difference in taste. From "will-not-swallow" gross, to definitely bearable, almost sweet, in just a few days.

Well, it's good to know that you would be willing to make such a sacrifice FOR SCIENCE. Thanks for taking one (or many) for the team.

Ahahahahaha!
