If gothic is, to you, nothing but a style of clothing, or just another weird counter-culture that it is currently "cool" to be a part of...then why would we all be so different, so individually amazing, so intelligent, so well read?
Why, my friend, if we were nothing but a bunch of lemmings in line to throw ourselves off a cliff like the rest of society (which is a rough estimation of what following every trend basically makes you), would we even give a damn if you never listened in school and didn't know how to read to save your life?
