Would the McGarrigles be considered "country"? J'adore les sœurs McGarrigle.

Plus there are some truly great songs in the country style. Soem tha tcome to mind are "Don't Bogart That Joint" by Fraternity of Men, "Jolene" by Dolly Parton, "The Gambler" by Kenny Rogers, and "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town" by Waylon Jennings.

My father had Nanci Griffith album when I was a kid that I used to enjoy listening. I think I would still appreciate it these days, too.

Anyone seen the great Altman film "Nashville", by the way? If not, and you are interested in country music in anyway, you should. Even if you aren't interested in country, you should see it.
