Hi, all. Need help with my hair, plz. =)
Hi, I'm new here. I was wondering If I could get some help with my hair. I want like a bad ass look, ya know. My hair is naturally strawberry-blonde and my eyebrows/lashes are VERY light! My boyfriend wants me to go all black or black with like red highlights or tips...I just don't know what it will look like with my skin tone, I'm pale. Is there a way that could work, If I darkened my brows? If not, could you suggest maybe a color with lowlights/highlights that would look good for me, please.

Just from personal experience (really long blond hair, though mine is closer to brown than yours) black doesn't work too well, the only colors I can pull off are non-natural colors, blue and green worked well when I had a mohawk. If you're going to try all black, make sure you get the temporary stuff first, even if it's the really cheap stuff, just to see if the color works, then you can get it off and either switch colors or go for the permanent one.
Even if you end up not changing it at all, I find that I stick out more as mine is now, not a whole lot of people can pull off the long blond hair goth look

I'm assuming that is you in your avi, in that case I wouldn't recomend lack with red highlights, I just don't think that it would compliment your skin tone. Also if you have light eyelashes/eyebrows then I wouldn't recomend going black unless you are going to put makeup on every day to make them darker (I guess you could get them permanently tinted but that is kind of a big commitment). Instead I would recomend a really dark chocolaty brown (not a reddish brown) and to try and get the bad ass feel from the cut and not the color. On the plus side your hair looks like it has great texture for a really choppy, textured cut like this or this. I alsothink keeping a bit of length around your face would be the most flattering look for your face shape

Hmm. Yeah, I would actually go with chocolate brown or maybe even go with straight red.

Since you are already a natural red-head, I'm going to suggest looking in to henna to maybe brighten up the red? You can also use it on your eyebrows if you'd like to darken them, henna is a plant powder that stains hair red. Here's a great site with info on it, I've used henna the past 2 years and my hair couldn't be happier. Plus, it doesn't damage your hair like chemical colors, but is VERY permanent, just a warning. Hope you find something that works.

Henna is a bitch. It turned my hair sickly green. 'Nuff said.

Only henna compounds do that, if you use body art quality it won't. The compounds have metallic salts that react badly with chemical dyes in.

It also can happen if you have had any chemicals applied to your hair including color, perms, relaxing, anti-frizz treatments, glazes, etc. (even if the effect of said treatment is no longer visible the chemicals are still there and can still cause some major problems), so you really shouldn't use henna unless you have 100% virgin hair

Please please don't go for red hair at all! Your skin is too red. You'll look like a tomato. Go for a flattering cool shade, like blue black or blonde. Also, tint your eyebrows if you're going darker or wear eyebrow pencil and mascara.

I think that blue black and electric blue highlights would flatter you.

I agree with unimatrix. You can purchase spray-in to see how you like the tone, to be certain.

Blonde is yellow, yellow is a warm shade, I'd expect you to know this
Also, to the original poster, don't change your hair because your boyfriend wants you to. If you want to change that's fine, if he wants you to change tell him to piss off.

The picture is adding more to the cool coloration than the hair itself.

I know a lot about hair. And obviously you're basing your assumptions on a "layman's" point of view, as opposed to someone who actually knows about hair. blonde can have cool shades, as well as warm shades. In fact, more times that not, it's considered a cool shade. Do some research if you don't believe me.
EDIT:
Warm blonde and cool blonde.

a golden blond would be considered to be a warm tone, an ash blond would be considered to be a cool tone
