Amber

peel the shadows from the chair
hiding in a place upside-down
red and blue and red
peel the shadows from my frowns
look as you lift the halo
choking on the colors
left over from the pain you shed
look for the woman in a boat
sailing in a hurricane
find the boot, kick his face in
and say it's ok to be a whore
sin so someday they know
the colors in your head
and smile empty soul
because you're black like
a casualty reborn
I'm the bad girl
and I'll make you feel it
then you'll apologize
for all the flickering
I'm your amnesiac
what a high...
high as if it mattered
high as if it made sense
so slip this into your glass
and wait for the demons
to crawl into your bed

It's like you're trying to go everywhere, but got nowhere. It's just not too good.

No good...ok well I'm dark. Is that a crime?

there is a difference between being dark and not being able to write something that make sense.when someone tell you that it's not good why justifying it by saying you are dark?
you can be dark and write something good.

Agreed, the poem seems to start of good but then you begin to notice skips here and there where it's like jumping to random chapters in a book and continuing reading from there. It completely loses you and you end up not having shit clue what you just read.

Claiming to be dark is not a substitute for piss-awful poetry.

Allow me to demonstrate how it's done:

In Memory of Water

Last night, my mood was poetry.

The moon was hanging full of meaning
from a rain cloud ceiling,
covering illusory stars like flaws
on an ancient plaster wall.

Though the air was cold and wintry,
the earth was warm from a day’s raining.

I had a sinking feeling
that time could suspend every cause
for a minute’s peace.

And just like that we’re history.

The rain that reminds me stops falling
on my human failing
and, resolving itself like a balance,
returned me indoors.

At dawn, the sickly light made entry
through a dirty window. This morning,
though it was nowhere raining,

Poetry, suspended like water

on the poet’s face.

*

That's how it's done. Unfortunately for you you don't have the qualifications to write good poetry, where as I do. Now kindly take heed of this warning, do the homework and deliver the good.

Or you could just go back to your deviant art page and anoint your need for mindless adulation with the uneducated, unconsidered opinions of your peers.
