Hello There

Guess I'll get right to it:

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
Currently I share an apartment with my boyfriend. We spend most of our time caring for our lovely pet rats. I also write/draw/collage/photograph/paint and obsessively keep records of my life through art. As for job, right now I'm strictly a student at a community college and am hoping to transfer to an art school for fall 2012.

2. Where are you from?
Massachusetts

3. Who is your favorite author?
Richard Adams, though honestly I don't read a whole heck of a lot these days. I'm notorious for starting things and never finishing them...books included.

4. What are your favorite films?
Withnail and I

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
Johanna Newsom or some sort of harp music.

6. At your funeral?
Jolie Holland

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
Full of pasta.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
Don't care all that much, I mean I'll be dead.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
I haven't been trying much when it comes to picking clothes lately...(or ever really) I tend to just throw the least smelly items on and call it an outfit.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Noticing caterpillars.

11. What's your favorite band?
That's hard to say but some that have been in the top whatever for a good long time:
Television
Neutral Milk Hotel
Edan
And I'm sure there are more, but I'm drawing a blank at the moment.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I kind of got into this in the first question, I'm planning on going to art school and majoring in book arts. I do have some qualms about going to school for art, but have spent a good four years out of high school debating the backs and fourths of this in my head and with those around me. I've come to the conclusion that this is the right path for me.

13. Why did you join?
I don't know, really. For starters I've never used a forum website before, other than lurking around...but that hardly counts. But oh well, we shall see how this works out.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Girl.

I love collages, what materials do you use?

When I was 5, I had a thing for cottonwool balls as clouds.

Opps almost forgot, welcome.

Thanks guys, for all the welcomes!

Fruitbat- For collaging I tend to use vintage magazines I've collected over the years. (My great grandmother had boxes of old mystery and beauty type magazines from the thirties and forties so I snatched as many as I could when helping clean out her house.) I also use photo's I've taken (I tend to use mostly film when shooting for artistic purposes.) and books from salvation army. (I have this great medical textbook that has so many great pictures, any book on astronomy usually has great stuff as well) Also sometimes illustrated children's books.

So basically my floor looks like a giant paper-snippet bomb went off at all times.

Thanks MissCheyenne! I spent many years aching over NMH, that music was the anthem to my teen angst.

I still have a soft spot for NMH, in fact I have an on going fondness for bands of that kind of style in general. Don't tell anyone though, I have an image to uphold
