Just recently in my Argumentative Writing class I wrote a paper defining goth. I was talking to a classmate who has been or is studying to become a police officer, and he told me that in training he and his classmates were taught that most goths are, in general, very cooperative and don't give the police any problems. We're actually very law-abiding, for the most-part! He did say that some officers do hassle those who dress differently, though. It was nice and interesting to get a law-enforcement perspective.

Seeing as how the things valued most by mainstream society are sex, money, and violence to protect your sex and money; it only makes sense that a sub-culture founded on non-conformity would be a friend (or at least an uneasy ally) of law-enforcement....

Ok... now its my time to say "Damn am I lucky" I go to a school that has about 350 pupils and to be absolutely honest no one cares how we dress. I acctually go a comment from a teacher the other day. She said she likes my everchanging look.
There was an incident with a principal who accused a bunch of goths of vandalising. Luckily they had evidence that proved their innocence. The principal had to appologise publicly. But generally the town I live in is very tolerant... there are of course dome odd look from time to time but no one dares to come and tell me anything...

Heh.... In my old school *Well, before my dropping out and moving* had no problem with it. and the funny thing was: It was Catholic.

Apparently now it has all sorts of issues with the look *More the punk look, but they get at the goths too*, but I attribute it to the change of Principals.

I was suprized with his distain for the culture tho.... he looked like Lurch from the Addams Family.

Travelling to me is the ultimate on Earth, there's nothing like it
You experience and learn so much
Meeting so many people as such
The wildlife that comes close is so rare
The gorgeous waterfalls that come crashing down
The beautifull mountains of snow
To where the wildflowers grow
The lush watery rainforests are so thriving and green
Lots of tree ferns and a variety of plants to be seen
Looking at the sun's ray's through the leaves and branches
Not fogetting the acres of farmland and ranches
The huge rocks and cliffs
The cities and attractions aswell as the gifts
The scorching heat of the desert and outback
The breathtaking sunsets and sunrises
To the night sky with billions of stars
Which are a lot further away then Mars
The strong waves at the beaches poundingon the shore
All this makes me want to travel even more
That is why, you see
Travelling means so much to me!
