Being drama queers is more interesting than being boredom fags, Spright.

With the exception of the drama queer remark, perhaps Spright is right. If she's just not getting what you're all saying, maybe just ignoring her til she goes away would be the best thing?

This thread had me in shits and giggles for well over 5 minutes.

Oh, and welcome MissChaos. I guess the moral of this thread is to use 'happy' instead of gay. Although, talking about suicide is hardly a happy thought.

misschaos, please ignore all the negative comments! I've just found the forum and read through that entire thread - you have nothing to apologise for. Everyone uses the "gay" description, the gay people I know have a sense of humour and wouldn't take offense to it! The suicide thing is your opinion, you weren't to know that people on the forum knew people who commited suicide (a surprising amount which makes me wonder if they're all genuine) but you didn't make a joke about it or say anything dis-respectful, you merely expressed your wish. A strange wish, but each to their own.
I won't be sticking around the site after seeing all that nastiness. Leave the bullies (especially darkhearteddemoness who is obviously a stupid little girl who has nothing better to do than pick on people's typos) and hang out in a decent forum where the people have a sense of humour and are friendly to newcomers.

Wow, this thread has become quite popular, it seems.
Well, at least the kid that hijacked the thread to gather attention left.
Anyway, this discussion could go forever with the 'gay' thing. Just read Mir's post above mine. It's the most laconic and rational of all.
Now, if there's anything else besides justifying one's stance on the word 'gay' feel free to continue this argument.

Bye

We won't miss you since you obviously always judge on a first impression, and never take the effort to anything. Out of that, I can also figure out that you don't like pie.

Popularity doesn't justify a fucking thing.

Most people are so unflinchingly and unthinkingly homophobic that gay people either develop a sense of humor or go insane. Just because they've learned to expect and even tolerate "innocent" prejudice doesn't make it right.

Had Chaos actually ceded that her remark, regardless of its intent, was easily construed as homophobic, rather than lying to our faces and insulting our intelligence, she would have had a chance.

More than anything, it was the consistent dullness and predictability of her responses to the survey questions (not to mention her equally banal responses to our posts) that set me off. The rest was just icing.

Do not presume to insult DHD. You don't know her, and she hasn't made any ad hominem attacks against you or Chaos.

Interestingly, my first response to her misuse of the word was a humorous one... But I'M the bitch.

Allow me to differ on your inductive remark on the amusing nature of a drama that likes getting it in the ass.

See, big words make it all more intelligent.

If we're trying to sound psuedointellectual, why not take "that likes getting it in the ass." and make it "which enjoys partaking in sodomy-type activities and recreation"?

*sigh* this thread is really starting to annoy me. Babybats; go the fuck away. We don't want you here, and you aren't welcome here because this is our community. Babybats have VampireFreaks...i think that for many of us on here, this forum is the only place where we can actually have a conversation about bands like Bauahus and Sisters of Mercy. I know for a fact that I'm the only person at my school who listens to them, and I get a little lonely. So babybats, do us all a favor and leave. That's why we flame you. Its because we care.

Or else we judged you on your overblown reaction to very small, simple critiques.

I guess it's all about perspective.

When we get many similar people, it stops being prejudice and becomes experience.
You eat a tuna sandwich, and it gives you a stomachache. You eat a second tuna sandwich, and it gives you a stomachache. By the seventh sandwich, you begin to notice a pattern.

With the "ignore" function, you can put someone on your ignore list and click on individual posts in order to view them... So if you have insatiable curiosity, you can pretend to ignore someone without actually ignoring them.
