Favorite video game moments!
I tried to do a search for this and couldn't find any threads! So I guess i'll start one!
Starcraft: The third terran mission of the original game, when you have to defend the base against wave after wave of zergs. Just a great way to start any game.
Shin Megami Tensai Persona 3: Summoning the persona 'Alice' and laying the smack down on pretty much anything in that game.
Shadow of the Colossus: When you see the very first enemy of the game.
Metal Gear Solid: "Snake, do you think love can blossom anywhere? Even on a battlefield?"
Demon Souls: Realizing that the game actually gets more difficult the more you die.
Shin Megami Tensai Persona 4: Radom guy during cross-dressing competition "I'd hit it."

The bit in Half Life where you get to shoot zombies in the face. Oh, wait...

In Portal when you fight Glados, her lines during the fight really cracked me up, as well as her lines while you were trying to find her. Its a great game though so its really hard to pick a certain part.
The end of Beyond Good And Evil, another game I really loved and had a ton of favourite parts but jeezy chreezy that was the hardest boss fight I ever beat, so it left a good feeling of smug satisfaction. Granted, I hated the cliff hanger part, it was only last year I think that they announced that there would be more sequels.
I also love the desert temple in Ocarina Of Time and the Zora level in Majora's Mask, I just loved swimming around as a Zora. Final Fantasy IX has a ton of moments that i love so its too hard to pick just one.

Resident Evil 3, in the police station.
Allow me to set the scene: Its all quiet, dark, i'm half drunk, listening to Immortal in the background. My palms are sweaty, and i run down the annoying stairs. Screen goes black and she's walking down the stairs. Next thing, cut-scene! Necrotizing fasciitis man jumps through the window and proceeds to kick my arse. It was a shit-in-your-pants-moment for me.

1. Arriving on Zebes in Super Metroid / Exploring Maridia in Super Metroid.
2. Leaving the Shinra tower in FF7 and seeing the world map.
3. Planet Corneria in Starfox.

Another Persona fan!!?!!? FUCK YEAH!!
The first awesome moment that comes to mind is in FF8, when your party is escaping from the giant robot at Dollet (where their field exam is) and eventually climaxes with Instructor Trepe (Quistis) shooting the shit out of it with the gun mounted on the boat. Quistis is love xD

Suikoden 2, when Luca Blight is covered with arrows and on the brink of death, he charges at you and you end up finishing him off. One of my favorite video game villains.

I could never manage to beat Luca D:
Persona 3 as a whole had many sweet scenes, in particular:
Arriving at Iwatodai

Orpheus' Awakening

P3 FES Answer:
Athena Transforms:

Not included but still amazing:
Pre-Title Movie
Lucia Awakens
Strega ambushes Ken and Shinji
Aigis vs Death
Aigis and Metis Vs. Akihiko and Ken
and others I forgot xD
I admit I'm a Persona 3 fanboy xD

Haha, I'm pretty much a fanboy of anything Atlus makes so we're in the same boat. As far as epic moments go, how could you forget the crucifix scene?

Beating Persona 3 was indeed one of my favorite moments too. It's going to be interesting if the ending of 4 is just as good. (by the way, I'm still utterly pissed that they haven't released the Persona PSP remake on the european PSN store. Idiots..)
Anyway, *this* beats everything. And if you don't know what this is, then you're most likely too young and missed the best game series ever made.

I'm currently playing Devil Survivor for the DS. It's pretty cool and I'd like to go play one of the other Persona games but I don't have a PSX or PS2.
The one thing that's annoying me is that Japanese developers seem to love teenybopper characters. Why the fuck do all the main characters in Japanese games have to be fucking no-brain 15 or 16 year olds?!?!

Far Cry, near the end of the game they take all of your weapons and drop you out of a helicopter on an island full of bloodthirsty mutants.
Also, fighting a bloodsucker for the 1st time in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was pretty awesome too.

Scenes of Resident Evil 4 and Soul Calibur are popping into my head, but currently it's last night's session of Mario on the Wii. Four people who are drinking should never try to work together in a video game.

Learning how to fatalities in the first three Mortal Kombat games.
Also, pretty much ANYTHING from The Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid series, my alltime favorite series ever.

Yes, this a thousand times.
I think my most vivid video game memory was probably in Ocarina of Time, actually, when Sheik was revealed to be Princess Zelda. Sappy, but whatever, it's Zelda.. I'm allowed to be. :P

Megaten in general is amazing, and I can't believe I forgot the Crucifix scene, and I've pissed regarding Persona PSP too, I can't deal with the hackjob American version, so it looks like no sexy remade Persona for me D: I was looking forward to Shoji Meguro's new soundtrack too...
They're not bringing out Devil Survivor out here either, though I COULD order it in.
