Impressively, Graveyard.Crow has used nearly every classic evasive internet fighting technique in almost immediate succession.
"You don't know me", "I don't have to prove anything to you", and "you clearly need a life outside of the internet" over the span of merely three posts.

The ultimate postmodernist kitsch rationalization: The Double Standard!

Your argument that watching a movie and clubbing seals being different despite the identical line of thought and the exact same validity is just arbitrary. It's simply drawing in the line in an unjustified spot not based on inquiry or even introspection, but merely in simple sentiments and societal norms.

They are both exactly the same in principal. Yet because they're different scenarios they have different results. Not even existentialists would allow that amount of "pick and choose"
Alright. I'm sorry but I'm tired of this argument. I've lost interest, maybe I should go club some seals or whatever.

Actually, I believe completely you enjoy reading about physics.
I don't believe for one second you have a deep understanding of it.

Poepples, this thread is not about quantum physics. It ultimately is simply about the declination of value in our society merely because it's easier.

Sigh.
It's not a fighting technique it's facts. Neither one of you know me, can you argue this?

Fair enough. I don't need you to believe it.

so why would I bother?

We can't, but the fact that we don't know you doesn't invalidate our well-supported contention that you're poorly read and a little dumb.

There's this punctuation called a question mark. It looks like this: ?

It shows me you're asking me a question.

But let's just assume. I think you're lying to make yourself look smarter or more well-read than you really are.

Umm re-read that. That is in fact what it does.
You not knowing me means you also don't know of my reading skills.
Make sense?

Why would I do that when this forum won't effect me in any way in the future?
What possible value would I get out of lying?

I don't know, now that it has backfired.

As for the forum and you lying, maybe because various members trounce you at regular intervals and you wanted to get one up on them by saying "Just because you're wittier than I am, doesn't mean you're smarter, because I read about quantum physics!"?

When Underwater Ophelia asked you what your favorite branch of Quantum Physics was, you replied 'um the one with thought and energy'. You claimed to read philosophy, but have neglected to name even a single work thereof that you enjoy.

Like I said before I don't take this seriously enough to pay attention who on here does or does not like me.
Listen, just because your heart stops every time you see someone bash you over the internet doesn't mean that it means this much to the rest of us.

It hasn't backfired. She asked me one question, seriously, can you not read?

No, since I said "I will name a few" not "I will name every single book that I have read in my entire life"

I'm sick right, but question is how do you all find so much time to post?

I replied honestly. I didn't know the exact name, but why would that hinder my understanding of the material. Just because someone doesn't know the word Calculus doesn't mean they won't be able to solve the equations once they are presented.

I do a lot of laundry and baking, both of which require that I don't leave my apartment for long periods of time, that and classes don't start until late August so I have tons of time at the moment

Oh and nobody asked you to name every single book, you were asked to name A single book

...Well, since I am replying to your question, I'll assume that yes, I can indeed read.

I actually don't care much when I get insulted, anywhere. You're the one who has a bitchfest about how mean people are.

And as for this, since they're currently putting holes in your story, I'll assume that I actually read and comprehend better than you.

You see what you want to see. No one has put any holes in my story, and I stand by everything I said.
I'm starting a "Bitchfest" because I had tonsil surgery which means I can't go out, so this provides me some amusement. In case you haven't noticed I go on here maybe twice a month tops.

Why so you can start another argument over how "That book is NOTHING compared to the big boy books I READ"
No thanks. I've had my fill of internet drama, I'm going to go try to force myself to eat.

You said "I will name a few", but you didn't name any. You said:

Quote:
There is poetry of course, quantum physics, I really like reading myths and descriptions of ancient religions as well as some more modern spiritual material. I read a lot of theories about different dimensions and existences, ancient pagan traditions and philosophical discussions about reality in general.
You didn't actually identify, by name, a single work of literature that you enjoyed.

I don't think there exists any student of Calculus who doesn't know that what they're studying is called 'calculus'.
