Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Turnstile Blues - Autolux
They remind me of Smashing Pumpkins somehow....

Ooh, Autolux are nice... Don't know if they remind me of the Pumpkins, but true, there might be something there.

Silver Screen Shower Scene (Remix) - Felix Da Housecat
Pits, don't kill me for listening to mindless club music every once in a while.

Are you kidding? I listen to Felix da Housecat myself! And Tiga, Miss Kittin, Vitalic, Fischerspooner... Love that stuff.
Now I'm enjoying some more obscure screamo, though. Sadly, like many bands of this type, these guys are no longer around:

"Bela Lugosi's Dead" by Bauhaus
What I would give to find a Bauhaus album at FYE. I've found Diary of Dreams, Switchblade Symphony, Skinny Puppy, KMFDM, Nick Cave, and Siouxsie before, but I've had to download all the Bauhaus I currently have. I don't understand why I can't find any good old Peter Murphy in stores. Are these albums rare or something?

GBH - The Prayer For A Realist
My ipod is on shuffle.....which is kind of obvious.
GBH are one of my all time favorite bands. Great live band. They were the first punk band that I ever saw. In fact they were also the first punk band that my boyfriend ever saw. How romantic! ;-)
EDIT Now playing:
Social Distortion - Ring Of Fire

You come in here and make your FIRST post promoting a band. If you would have read the rules of this board you wouldn't have done that. THAT alone makes me not want to listen to the band you are whoring.

Adolescents - Welcome To Reality
Rikk Agnew, who played guitar in early Christian Death, played guitar for them so some of the songs sound kind of deathrock. Very cool band.
