However I haven't listened to anything by them after, so I don't really know what they sound like now.
The singing's not standard Pop-Punk. It's sub-standard, AKA EMO. He screams and whines a lot. Compare it to "Burn No Bridges" by Gray Matter (Emocore) and "The Good Life" by Weezer (emo-pop). It fits right between them! And do you mean this cover: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ove_cover.jpg?

Furthermore, Wiki lists 'Bullets' genre as "Post-Hardcore".

Screaming? Special to emo?

Weezer's emo pop now?

And yeah thats the cover, I was referring to the inside.

Although I don't know why I'm bothering to argue on behalf of a band I don't like, I just remember when Bullets came out I was frequenting another goth forum, and everyone was arguing over their merits as a goth band, and since this was back before they were really big, having to explain to newbies why they were the greatest new goth band o.O

And before all this new "emo" music came out, MCR was a "gothic band," simple plan was "punk", and so were the Used. Its just recently they were re-classified.

No. Screaming's not special to emo. But his screaming style was emo.
And, yes. Weezer was emo. Read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emo#Sec...2.80.932000.29

No, their FIRST album was Emo. "Buddy Holly" isn't an emo song.
EDIT: I meant "Pinkerton", not their first album.

Don't back pedal too fast, you might hit a wall.

Sometimes I think bands like this just form so we can feel as if we've accomplished something.

JCC is the only person making any sense in this entire thread.

If you don't like Opeth there is something wrong with you.

My MUM likes Opeth.

By the way Saguine:

The following bands ARE NOT metal:

Korn <<Nu-metal but still shit.
Bullet for my Valentine <<Post-harcore/nu-metally crap
System of a Down << Nu-metal, hard rock
Limp Bizkit (Sadly I have heard them be refered to as metal before...) << Agreed
Slipknot << Nu-metal
Papa Roach (Sadly them too) <<Agreed again.
Hatebreed <<Nuh Duh!!! Hardcore.
Linkin Park (and even them...)There are idiots in the world.

EDIT: "Maiden is the staple of every metalhead's diet"
What the fuck? I reckon Metallica and Maiden suck compared to most metal bands. Sure they were great and pioneers in metal. So?

Kreator are good.

Kreator are awesome, especially their 1986 classic `Pleasure To Kill`, I`m so glad there are other people like them too !!!.

JCC,

Do you like any other German thrash bands ?

Sodom ?

Destruction ?

Tankard ?

Rage ?

Space beer anyone ?

JCC, have you heard any Holy Moses (I forgot to put them on the previous post), this band had a female vocalist singing with death metal vocals in the 80`s long before Arch Enemy, click on the link to check them out on their Myspace page !!!.

Just pointing out, half the bands you listed were thrash, not "real heavy metal"
