I received a postcard from a dutch friend who is on vacation in Southern Spain.

I am so happy he thought of me!

While out food shopping I spotted a magazine with a free Nail Inc nail polish (worth £10), began searching through all the magazines for the nice dark red nail polish they were advertising as a freebie. All the magazines had pale pink nail polish, started to walk away and noticed one magazine on a different shelf with the nail polish I wanted.

So I am happy I have £10 nail polish in colour called Victoria for a magazine worth £2 and I nearly didn't spot it.

French exam. No, seriously. This is the one exam I know I'll ace, rather than expect to fail...

I had a good first-day-at-work. =D

I also got an extra check from Target about two weeks ago (I cashed it today), which was an unexpected bonus.

I did ace my French exam!

I had to speak for ten minutes - half answering questions on the media, half discussing The Wicker Man. It went well.

But I have a recital this evening... and late folios. Oh, the horror.

I finished a scarf I was knitting for a friend for Christmas. I'm making four or five this year as gifts, depending on how fast I can get them done. This one is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo soft, its unbelievable. You might say its quite kampfy.

I am pleased with my rearrangement of the cat furniture upstairs. Moved the scratching tower to the other side of the couch and scooted the storage bin closer to the floor heater vent + put a pillow on top of the bin. Now it looks like the warm air will circulate in the room better and flow along the edge of the pillow. This will be good for my old arthritic boy. And our 'baby' was re-discovering inside the tower as well. Happy kitties, happy mama! =^. .^=

My horrible day was reconciled with setting off a mini hot air balloon for no reason with my friends, and poking some really good smot....we've also decided to make a short film about a guy that goes into a house which has four rooms, and were going to make each room different by using stop action animation, green screen, real footage, and animation. It's going to be somewhat whimsical and bizarre. My friends a pretty good film maker though so it should be interesting. He wants me to do most of the backdrops. Anywhoo I have to go to work in 8 hours so I better go to sleep...GOOD NIGHT G'NET!

Going past a fast food restaurant and seeing a stretch limo with a 'liveried' chauffeur going through the $1 menu section. It really would've made my day if I had been able to snap a pic of it and send it to the paper. Talk about a commentary on the state of the economy -- or the sheer irony of a millionaire in a stretch limo buying $1 'burgs across from a group of hungry homeless people with signs that read "Will work for food." After all, they say a picture is worth a thousand words.

Oggy picking me up for school in a 1935 soviet Rat Rod pickup, then driving to school, with motorhead blaring out of the windows.

This cracked me up, and even though it's only morning right now I'm pretty sure it was/is the only highlight of my day:

I got an assignment in, fully finished, on time. It's a first for me - I always put 'em in a month late, half finished or not at all. I feel ecstatic.

Nothing. This day was pretty shitty. I suppose the highlight of it would have been the sun shined for about a few hours, but that's it.
